"Hey Karl - you're lying." "He can't be counted on." etc. - The Official Following Greg Miller

This really grabbed me too. How Larry wasn't convinced that Karl was worth everything the league would allow him to be paid is pretty ****ing heinous.

Hold it, hold it, hold it....

Larry was not a tightwad with Karl, although that is the popular opinion...not true.

In the late 80's, Karl started to demand a million dollars a year, which at the time was kind of rare. Larry gave it to him. Then Karl started spouting off that he wanted to be taken care of long term and he wondered why the Jazz had no come to him and offered it to him. (Like a crazy women, he thought they should have just known that's what he wanted)
Ok, so Larry got together with Karl and they hammered out a long term deal. Larry even threw in a car dealership to sweeten the offer, because there were league rules that made the deal capped at a certain amount.
Karl got as much, even more than the league allowed.
And when he kept wanting extensions to that deal, there was only so much allowed that Larry could pay him.
If Karl would have played out his contract and become a free agent, he could have made more, but he always wanted security.

As time went on, league rules changed and players started making more. But Karl was locked into a long term deal that very quickly became obsolete.
Same thing happened to Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan.

After the lockout and the new rules, Karl got the max deal that was allowed at the time.

Larry was not a tightwad with Karl. But many fans still want to believe that.

How so? The part where Karl was not present for ANY INSTANCE of the controversy, or the part where he still hasn't talked to Jerry about any of this?

Clearly, Malone is the best source for information on the topic.

Because despite what we might think Malone has to still have ties. Yet, he doesn't have the same fears that he is close enough for the Jazz to burn him back. Look at the heat he is taking are you kiddin' where their is smoke there is fire.

But even Sloan has come out and said that Karl is wrong.

Karl Malone gotta do what Karl Malone gotta do. He likes the attention. He is our "Manny being Manny".

To what lengths. Karl has been bashing the Jazz on and off since Jerry left. At some point you need to defend yourself.

Karl needs to STFU. His opinions on the Jazz are irrelevant. And the fact he thinks they matter is embarassing. He needs to go away.

I hope he is never part of the franchise ever again. As a player he was a lot of trouble, but a good enough player to make it worth it. As an ex-player he is still a pain because he still has not grown up enough to learn to STFU.

Karl you need to get the Jazz out of your system because they no longer need or want you around.

The part I bolded is 100%. The rest is an embarassment to the rest of us.

You're really trying to convince us that you are better than Karl Malone huh.

Epic fail on both sides. Karl should not be bringing this tired, old **** up a year after it happened. And Greg giving into his immature side by blasting him on twitter, the devil's tool.

We all know Greg paid Sloan and Johnson millions after they left as hush money.
Karl is right of course, Karl was always right.
Sloan just cannot talk about it because of the contract.

.....right?

Wait... I have a better one.

Karl is trying to blackmail Greg into giving him another dealership, but Greg's not giving in.
Karl is now playing hardball.

How about that one?

My hatred of both of these people is, and has been, well documented. I didn't think it was possible to dislike either of them anymore than I already do. Boy, do I feel sheepish.
