What's new

Hill, Injles, Withey, Mack all want to stay in Utah.

Sports cliche speak. Not smart to alienate a team you've played for, so of course you'd say that. Only extreme examples would suggest otherwise.

Eh, in upcoming free agency though you can still play the "I'm not thinking about this decision yet" card. I haven't heard the others on our team, but at least for Ingles everything I've heard on his end he didn't have to say at all and genuinely felt like he for sure wants to sign here.

Well, ya. Why wouldn't he? And if he ends up signing elsewhere, he'll give them a genuinely felt statement about how excited he is to be there.

I would be shocked if Mack wants to stay. He's likely pissed and wants to go somewhere else to get more playing time. I don't expect the Jazz to re-sign him.

of course Mack wants to stay. He is the teachers pet here, and will get more playing time than almost anywhere else.

I believe that his playing time went up when the Jazz picked him up. He is getting more playing time than he should.

Edit: I just looked it up. He has been in the league for 6 years. Played for 4 teams.
Last season (his first with the jazz) was by far his career high in minutes per game.
This season was his 2nd highest minutes per game of his career.

Go somewhere else to get more playing time? Lololololololololol

I'm of the opinion that these guys will go wherever offers the most money. I don't think we will be the highest suitor for most of them with the possible exception of Ingles.

You are aware he got DNPs for like 30 games this season? The only reason he ever got any playing time for the Jazz is because Hill is injury-prone. That's a fact. Mack played 8 minutes a game against the Clippers and the only reason he gets playing time is because Hill was hurt, Burks was hurt, Neto doesn't get minutes, and Exum has underachieved.

What I posted is also fact.
Another fact. Mack ain't gonna get much playing time for any team in the league unless the team he is on his injury issues.
Another fact. Mack isn't very good.

Nah he was the primary back up for most of the first half of the season. There was a stretch after the all-star break where he got DNP's. Some of that was coaches decision, and then he injured himself in warmups and that accounted for another 3 weeks or so of it.

Mack would by far be the best player on the Lakers

There isn't a player on the Jazz that I would mind seeing back next year (well, maybe Burks) -- if the price is right. That does not mean I would like to see the same team rolled out for next season. The only two that must stay are Gobert and Hayward, everyone else is tradable and I hope to see DL work some magic.
