He doesn't take 3pt shots in rythym though. I remember being super mad all the time because he would get the ball for an open 3, then take like 3 dribbles and shoot a contested 3 or long 2.
Yeah, not disagreeing with anything you've said.

For the record, I've said I see Hood being the starter before this thread was made. Assuming he can stay healthy.

Well currently Hood is the better player because currently Burks can't play basketball.

So Hood is also better than KD then too? Stop being dumb... You're better than that.

I think Hood should start but I think Burks is the better player. If he increases his 3 point attempts by one per game and still makes 38% and when he is healthy again can return to his prior year percentages around the rim then he is a really nice offensive player.

I think Hood outclasses Burks right now. He is a better 3 pt shooter, plays more in control and in the flow of the game, and is at least an equal defender. And it is his rookie year. Next season he is going to overshadow Burks. I think we have our 3 and D guy, it will just take some seasoning.

I like Hood as the starter. He is a better shooter and with him and Hayward out there together, it opens things up for Favors and Gobert.
Plus, I still love Burks as the 6th man scoring assassin.
Burke, Burks, Ingles, Booker and some other dude make a decent second unit.

TOMIC. His name is ANTE T-O-M-I-C.

KD was a MVP and will play again very soon.

Burks was a good off the bench guy for a really ****ty team.

Not crazy to think by the start of next year that Hood might be better than Burks. Guarantee Hood would win a game of 1 on 1 right now though..

Wasn't really your argument though. Could he be better than Burks next year... Maybe? I wouldn't bet on it though.

Hood has had a few good games, but it's not like the guy is 19 and has a huge development curve ahead of him. I expect him to be a little more consistent but I don't expect huge developmental strides next year. He also hasn't been the picture of health this season.

Healthy burks would smoke healthy hood one on one.

Only problem I have with Hood is that he still overdribbles a lot of the time without much meaning (kinda like Burke), although he has been cutting down on that the past few games.

Can't realy decide between them until Burks properly gets a chance to work within Quin's system though

The good thing is we have both of them... We need them both. I can't watch millsap and ingles play 20 minutes a night anymore.

Burks was just starting to improve when he got injured, it took some time for some of our players to show improvements, but it seems like Quin is indeed amazing at developing young talent. I would be willing to give Burks one more healthy year under Snyder and see if he improves. At the very least he'd be a great 6th man. Not willing to give up on him, yet... On the contrary, I feel like that would be short-sighted.

BTW Quin has shown that he doesn't shy away from making lineup changes and I have faith in him giving a fair shot to both Rodney and Burks at the starting spot. The very fact that we are talking about this, shows how good people think Rodney can be.

Hood is a more natural fit in Quin's system. Burks looked out of place most of the time. Hood has adopted faster than Burks has (Hood still has 200 less minutes than Burks in Quin's system).

honestly, i think people are under-valuing Burks, and unempirically over-valuing hood.

Burks is better at nearly every facet of the game. I might be in the minority, but i stand behind burks until hood shows he's better (for real).

People are saying Hood based on his recent play. Stats from his whole rookie season are not really important in this argument. He struggled early and dealt with a lot of injuries. Now that he is healthy and getting minutes he has been playing very well.
