Hood traded to Cleveland for Crowder; Johnson to Sacramento

Rodney Hood played seven scoreless minutes against the Clips before exiting with a strained back and did not return. He will miss the next game (vs Lakers) and is listed as "day-to-day", which is his default status anyway.

Outside of shooting the basketball, dude is generally a sub-par player with aspects of mediocrity.

I disagree with this, Hood is an awesome threat handling the ball in the PNR. Seems like he gets in his own head though which may always limit his ability.

• DL traded a 2nd round pick and cash for the top defensive center in the NBA - Rudy Gobert.

• He then traded a late first round pick and Trey Lyles for the future face of the Jazz and the most exciting true rookie in years - Donovan Mitchell.

• He then traded Rodney Hood for Jae Crowder at a time that Hood’s value was high and Crowder’s value was low. . . only to have Crowder play well with the Jazz while Hood is struggling to fit in with the Cleveland LeBrons.

• NBA GM’s are going to start hanging up on DL when he calls. Not worth the risk of being embarrassed and vilified by the fan base afterwards.

Crowder > Hood. We won the trade and got the better player. Crowder has already proved to be the more skilled player, some may knock his shot selection but his awareness, tough defense and heart already surpasses Hood. Crowder and the Jazz are perfect for each other while Hood was a sissy chucker.
