not sure how much horny had to do with it, but i would say that derrick favor's ft shooting has significantly improved... if thats any consolation
That was the best example I could think of too.

No offense but I hope you are very wrong about this. I would hope that the season doesn't go as well as the FO would like and that there are several times that games are lost because of poor coaching decisions. Ty gets canned after the trade deadline and Lowe becomes the interim coach. Lowe shows the same inability to make the right decisions and doesn't game plan appropriately.
In the offseason the Jazz look for a coach at the same time they try and extend Gordon. Gordon makes it clear that the Jazz must offer Brad Stevens a lucrative contract to come coach him again or else Gordon will go elsewhere. Stevens accepts the offer because it is too much money to pass up and the Jazz get a top 5 pick in the draft added to the team and great things come to pass from that point on.
I know that I am dreaming in that scenario but you have to dream it before you can achieve it. It has to be a thought first.
This would be BAWESome!!! I didn't know we were dreaming up scenarios, mine was the realistic version.
I really hope this happens to be the case. Many insiders around the league have praised Ty's handling of the Jazz situation, while fans and critics have been on the other end.
I do think Horny is a better candidate, but I'm hoping for the Jazz's sake they're making a good decision here.
Wow!! What's the deal with all the doom and gloom with Jeff leaving. This pleases the hell out of me, and couldn't be happier about him going. When Ty finally leaves I do not want anyone promoted from with in the org.
Jeff had to move on. The Jazz management values' in step yes men' and Jeff couldn't always play along. He expressed his disbelief that Jazz took Alec Burks over Kawai Leonard, his coach talk at half time or at the quarters seemed to reveal a thinly veiled disappointment with what was happening with the team.
Good luck Jeff, before I cheered for you I hated you when your Suns were running and gunning 3's past my Jazz. Will I hate you once more when your Suns team runs and guns past my Jazz?
Because the Jazz have the opportunity to replace Ty and aren't?
I doubt Hornacek really was all that instrumental. It's not like Jeff was working on Derrick's 20-ft jumpers. The fact that the team as a whole didn't improve indicates to me that Jeff was either not responsible for working with them on shooting or whatever he tried to teach just didn't translate. Great players are often not great coaches because whatever they did came so naturally to them. Sometimes they just can't teach how they did it. It's like that in every sport. Sure, there are a few HOF's who became great HC's, managers, etc., but more often, it's the guys who were middle-of-the-road, who had to learn the game and focus on the fundamentals in order to survive and prolong their careers - or even get a shot. Those are the players who generally become the best coaches. That was the best example I could think of too.
