Hornets plan of action (Yes this is Jazz related)

Getting out of Big Al's contract for the next 2 years vs 1 for Kaman is enough for me.

What are you going to do with the money saved? It isn't like you are going to use it to get a big star to come play here. Might as well keep the better player in a shortened season and have Al turn into a good player with an expiring contract next season. If we don't get anything more than Kaman, the deal makes little sense.

From a team that has given away players for nothing to save money it makes perfect sense.

This is true. Maynor being a big example. But oh well. It isn't like he was going to have some AS future. He still might fit with the Jazz better than Harris though.

Because it's morally wrong and we are, sometimes sadly, held to a higher moral standard, than say, those in New Orleans.

Are you joking or do you actually believe this? I do think it is obvious that the NBA league office is completely corrupt with the way they have handle the N.O. situation. Openly tanking the season doesn't look good when you are owned by the league.

I certainly hope the Jazz are NOT interested in Kaman. The guy is not the same player he was and there is absolutely no room for him on the Jazz roster.

Here's a thought, I don't know how realistic it is, but if the Jazz plan on trading Al they might try trading Harris for Kaman to replace Al. It's just a thought, and I'm not sure how I'd feel about it.

Tongue-in-cheek

(Cont.) Hornets asking price for Kaman too high. "They were asking for draft picks, cap space and a young player," one executive says.

fine they can just keep him then.

Kaman ~ Okur in value -- except probably stronger on D and weaker on O

Jefferson (if he puts forth more effort and smarts on D) has a better chance to be a cornerstone than Caveman.

Jefferson is not a cornerstone, quit wishing.
Jefferson has 2 years vs 1 for Kaman
Kaman plays better D
The offense runs better running through Millsap vs Jefferson
Increased PT for Favors and Kanter to develop
Kaman looks like a caveman.....actually Jefferson kind of does too LOL
Thats just the tip of the iceberg

Kaman for Big Al, would you do it?
Kaman is a legit big...so I like that...but Al's been passing lately and I like that more.

It is nonsense to trade big al for another good big man, it would be only to get a good SF or PG and give more chance to favors and kanter

Great points. Big thing would be the contract situation. Give us money to spend in free agency. Would Stern approve though.

Yeah, I actually do find benching a player like Kaman to tank kinda annoying.

Any word on how Kaman is reacting to this?
I don't think they're benching him just to tank. He's being shopped and they think he has a lot of value. In that case, why risk him getting hurt?

And I doubt the Jazz are interested...unless KOC has a deal in the works to ship out one of the bigs in a package to get a starting wing or PG.
