What's new

Hot Rod

I still listen to his play calls from time to time on YouTube. Is nostalgic af and brings me back to some of the best times in life.

Hot Rod had the pipes and the lines (they weren't over thought or tried too hard.)

Mailman with the hammer dunk.

Yeah, you gotta love it, baby. (This should be the Jazz's line over **** like take note.)
Hot Rod was great but truth is, he stole a lot of it from the great Chick Hearn.

Never heard that before and don't doubt it. What phrases did he use of Hearn's? Hippity hop, slam dunk, cowhide globe, you gotta live it, baby, leap and lean?

On a side note, I couldn't sleep last night and watched that video of Stockton's career high 28 assists. As you can see in the video, he could have had 30 but a missed dunk and Jeff Malone passed up a layup.

Remember, there was never "Stockton to Malone" without Hot Rod.

Dude needs a statue.

I find myself watching YouTube clips of the Jazz just to listen to him.

B-Jack is great but David Locke never had the pipes and tries way too hard to fill the shoes. I love his passion and dedication though.

There will never be a Hot Rod, obviously.

With a gentle push and a mild arch, the cowhide globe hits home.

Legend.

For some reason I started watching this.
Highlights:
The commercials crack me up
It's good to hear Hot Rod
Larry Krystowiak on the Bucks, getting into it with Malone
Bailey killing it
Ricky Green
Krystowiak needs to go.

The Utah program has settled for mediocrity.

RIP RM
