What's new

Houston Rockets @ Utah Jazz, Wednesday 29/02/2012 7:00 PM

While I love it when the Jazz win, it's frustrating to see such a difference between home and away performances.

The thing is, it's not like the Jazz played badly in their last two road games (at Minnesota and at Sacramento), they just couldn't finish them at the end. We lost at Minnesota at the buzzer and we were right in the game against the Kings until the last couple of minutes. We have been playing better on the road of late, we just can't break through and actually come out with the W. If we could just do that and come back from the upcoming 5-game road trip with a winning record (3-2 to the stupid person) - which would be a big accomplishment considering we play at Dallas (21-15), at Philly (21-15), and at Chicago (29-8) - I would see those results as compelling proof that we have turned a corner on the road.

The thing is we've lost close games to BAD teams on the road, collapsing in the 4th quarter. Based on that, I don't see the Jazz being anywhere near competitive against GOOD teams on the road. I'd expect the Jazz to win against Charlotte. The Cleveland game is a toss up (Cavs = Kings). The other three games should all be losses > 10 pts.
