How about this Trade Idea?

I dont see much difference drafting #9 or #12 myself. After the top 7 or 8 there is quite a dropoff. We could take anyone of these players(George, Hayward, Henry, Udoh, Babbit, Patterson, Aldrich) at #9 but then again there will still be 4 of these players still available at #12 and we can pick up a extra draft choice and take a shot on (Sanders, Aldrich, Whiteside, James, or any other player that might slide))

The Jazz don't need to commit two years to a guy to "take a shot on". No thanks.

Yeah, The Jazz would rather overpay players like Kirilenko, Okur, Millsap, Miles rather than take a rookie for cheap. Maybe we should sign Fesenko for 4-5M this year rather than take our chances in the draft? How many players do we currently have on our roster? maybe 8 or 9. You have to pay somebody to play? What cheap players can we get out there in free agency to fill up our roster? I personally would rather take a player with potential then settle for players like Milt Palacio.

It makes no sense to do this. We have been waiting for this pick for years and now you want to trade it for the same picks we have had for the last 10 years? What happens if cousins, monroe or Davis falls to number 9 and we are sitting at 12 watching another team steal our pick? There are many of instances where players fall on draft night for no apparent reason. If this happens I want the jazz in the best possible position to draft them. If anything I would like to see the jazz move up by taking on Jefferson's or Brand's contract.

Would you do this trade? To me is seems like the top five are (Wall, Turner, Favors, Johnson, Cousins) The next three will be (Monroe, Aminu, Ed Davis). After that it seems to drop off leaving the Jazz with(Aldrich, Henry, Babbit, Udoh)

Utah Trades: #9, #55
Utah Recieves: #12, #17

Memphis Trades: #12, #28, Cash

Chicago Trades: #17

If we did this trade maybe we can get someone like George/Henry and Whiteside/Aldrich. Tell me what you think?

The Chicago Bulls have a deal in place that would move Kirk Hinrich and the 17th pick to the Washington Wizards, freeing up enough cap space to pursue two maximum-salary players in this summer's free-agent market, sources with knowledge of the Bulls' plans said Thursday.

It wasn't immediately clear what Washington would send to Chicago in the trade.

The deal can't be officially consummated until July 8, when the Wizards will have room under the salary cap to absorb Hinrich's $9 million contract without having to send back anything of similar value.

Since it's a good-faith deal for the time being, there remains a chance it could fall apart. But according to one source, the Sacramento Kings are prepared to make a similar deal with the Bulls in the Wizards' stead if that were to happen.

Either way, moving Hinrich and the pick would push Chicago's space under the cap from $20 million to more than $30 million. That puts the Bulls on equal footing with the Miami Heat in pursuing not just one but two members of a free-agent class that is expected to include LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Carlos Boozer, Amare Stoudemire and Joe Johnson.

17 is now off the board.
