The most sickening statistic from that series was other than Chicago's wire-to-wire Game 2 victory, in the Jazz's other 3 defeats (Game 1, Game 5 and Game 6) they held the lead for 129 of the 144 total minutes. To lead 3 games for all but 15 minutes and lose them all is heartbreaking - and demonstrates the competitive greatness (Woodenism: doing your best when your best is needed) of Michael Jordan and those Bulls teams.
Unbelievable - the entire basket was shaking...they make that call and at worst Kerr's jumper sends the game into OT.

It is heartbreaking yes. But at least we went toe to toe with one of the greatest basketball teams (if not the greatest) of all time and nearly won them. That 97-98 bulls team was one of the best ever put together. The Jazz were just 1 role player away from a title. If Rony Seikly <SP?> came to Utah that year we probably would have won.
Frickin' Shandon Anderson. I remember that I had told some co-workers that I would shave my head if the Jazz went to a game 7 and was starting to think it was going to happen and then Anderson missed the layups. I don't care that Pippen hung on the rim because Anderson still should have made that layup, and the previous one. He was Matt Harpring before Matt Harpring when it came to MLA's.
