What's new

How did Exum look last night?

The sample size I used is his entire 4 year injury riddled career.
It’s literally impossible for me to use a bigger sample size since one doesn’t exist.

Sure, but the third year in your sample is meaningless. The first 2 years are valid for comparison.

But I don't think his shot looks any better.

One of my best friends grew up in Melbourne and therefore I am a fan of X. It was a very cerebral and scientific process for me. Not sure why some of you are so committed to disliking him, but I hope he soon rubs your idiocy in your face. I assume that you haters hope the same.

He probably had the most complete performance that I've ever seen from him, in the minutes that he played against the warriors.

I do remember the 22 point game against OKC, and game 4 against GSW in the playoffs, but that was only really one half. This felt more rounded, he drove better than I've ever seen him, distributed better than anybody on the floor at the same time as him. Played solid D with maybe one really noticeable lapse.

I just remember saying that Dante is playing like a man.

Lol at the guys trying to say that Dante hasn't shown anything. Yeah, I realize it has been a hard road and that it would have been better if the injuries had never happened, but it's time to admit that this guy has some very useful NBA skills. He is already good and he has the potential to become very good. It's stunning that we can essentially add a player of this caliber late in the season to a team that has already over-performed by such a wide margin.

"1-6 from 3 is the biggest issue with Dante." That's the too-small sample size.

Oh that’s what you took from my post.
The biggest issue with Dante is his poor shooting. That’s what you should have taken from my post.

The main reason I haven't lost hope in him is because the Jazz haven't. Houdini can't get off the bench, even when we could use his skill set. They are still bringing Dante along, giving him more minutes, and coaching him up. And, to be objective, he is rewarding the patience. Look at the impact he had on this game when he came in. We were playing like c*** and were down by 6. He had a piece of every play that put us up by 5. Small sample though it is, it is something. The bigger evidence is that they put him in and are still trying to develop his skill set.

He is not spida, and maybe we have been spoiled by learning curve that kid has. With all the set backs Dante has had, if the coaches are still hopeful, I will be too. That said, the comparison Q used was Neto, not Mitchell, when he said to not expect too much, too soon.
