How did Exum look last night?

That is a biggest load of ********* right there. Missing Exum is the same as missing Gobert? LMAO. Who is this Tony Jones and what is his position on Jazz FO?
Tony is definitely the most plugged-in beat reporter we have. He's legit when he gives insight like this. He was officially saying this on the record. DL also said something similar on radio several times this season. I think it's a little bit over the top, but DL at least seems to have a big belief in Exum.

Most of his drives he receives a pass and does a straight line drive

I don't think this is accurate at all. Exum has mostly been driving on ISO or PnR from what I've seen. He's had some off ball catch and drive but the vast majority have been him creating them himself. According to NBA.com 68% of his 2 point FG's are unassisted. If he is just catching and driving that number would be much higher. That also doesn't include FT's where I know he has had quite a few that were him creating out of PnR or iso.

I don’t think catching the ball on the three point line and driving to the rim (catch and drive) would be considered an assisted basket.

I have seen that play quite a bit. Works really really well. Kinda like the play he jazz used to run where lanterns would have the ball in the post and Burks would run baseline and get a handoff from kanter (using kanter as a screener) for the baseline basket. Seemed almost unstoppable.

Catching a pass at or around the 3 pt line and driving for a layup doesn't constitute an assist

Mitchell came into the league ready to play. Exum was a project. You are an idiot.

No, the exciting thing is that Mitchell is still a project as well, its just that his ceiling is a Hall of Famer. He will get more efficient and improve defensively as he learns the league. He isn't remotely close to a finished product.

Oh, and utahjazzz is most definitely an idiot.

What???
Exum has been assisted on only about 6 of his field goals since he has been back.
He gets his own shots - most of which are at the rim.

But more importantly, he aims to bring other people into play. That's what a traditional pg does right?

I am not saying Mitchell can't play pg btw. Just don't agree that Exum can't.

Just have the guy being covered by the weaker defender be the de facto point. Both Exum and Mitchell can defend either guard position. It is an incredibly good position to be in.

If you watch the games it's become obvious Exum is past being a project. His production on the court shows that.
So you think he's what he is going to be right now? If he's not then he's still a project. He's a good player now but I see a much higher ceiling than where he is currently at.

I realize this is completely based on opinion, but I literally think the exact opposite of nearly every single thing you said. To me, his best attribute his his speed with the ball and using that to set up others. His handle is actually ok for where he "needs to be" but it can be improved and that can help him become more of a full-time PG. Although he may not "need" the ball in his hands, I 100% disagree taking it out of his hands can get the most out of him. I also disagree in the notion that putting the ball in Exum's hands for some reason lowers Mitchell's usage. I think it will do nothing but help Mitchell. We aren't choosing one to be a PG, anybody who watches the Jazz knows that the "PG position" is nearly nonexistent in the traditional sense, and the primary ball handler may rotate every single possession.
You are seeing the same thing I am. Not sure what Thee is thinking on this one.

I'm OK with giving Exum every single one of Royce O'Neale's minutes at this point as well as Neto's (he gets by default) and Burks as well. If there was a way, I'd be looking at Crowder's minutes too.
