I haven't watched much of the kid... but I'm pretty impressed. Watch closely at the 1:50 or so mark.. fast break and he gets to the rim for a layup through two defenders. Great, fantastic, whatever. But watch what he actually does during the replay. He takes a step in, protects the ball with both arms, and then brings it to the rim. Started all 82 games for Charlotte, 5.7 assists(which is a little shaky, but he's playing with the Bobcats), 42% FG, almost 80% FT%. Every stat across the board went up from 11-12 to 12-13 except rebounding.

Sign and trade Jefferson or Millsap for Tyrus Thomas and Kemba Walker? As Jazz fans we'd hate taking back Jefferson, but considering Charolette's front court at that point consists of Bismack Biyombo, they might go for it.

Lets not put the horse before the carriage though.. who thinks we should make a play for Kemba?
 
I don't think there's a deal out there both teams like. He's Charlotte's best player.
 
Asking price would be way higher than that and he's not really that great. I think if we actually had him you'd like him a lot less.
 
Kemba is much better than anything we have at the moment. I still think we need a pass-first point guard, though. With that being said, I think we could do a lot worse.
 
I like Walker, but I really don't know why Charlotte would only trade their only good player. Would be easier to get MKG since that guy freaking blows.
 
with all the heavy guns Jazz have in Core4, JAZZ would be better served with a pass-first PG.
Josh Magette anyone?

To pass to who...Favors on a P&R? The term "pass-first" PG was coined to describe guys like Stockton who just preferred not to drive and shoot. The game has changed. The best PG's can and will create shots. Even Deron, back when he was actually one of the best, liked to break guys down off the dribble and try to get to the rim. Not as much as a CP3 or Rose, but way more than those "pass-first" guys of the 80's. With no contact allowed, a fast PG will kill the other team. Start Favors and Kanter and you need a couple of guys who can drive, draw the defense and THEN dish off to the bigs inside.

Wait a minute, people are dogging the fact of getting Kemba? Kemba on the jazz I think
Would have taken this team to 5+ wins than what we got this year. Jazzfanz is so bleak they think Kemba walker being on a horrid team makes him bad. A big s t fu to that.

A little harsh, but ok. We've got a fantastic play maker that's not a PG in Hayward. Six assists a game from our PG would be plenty if Hayward will become our leader.

Nothing away from Teague, and I really mean that, but Kemba can be just as good here. But who can we get for cheaper?
 
Kemba Walker is a good point, he needs to be sent to a new team before developing bad habits rotting on a franchise that looks years away from even putting a dent in their record.
 
There are no realistic trade scenarios where we could get Kemba without us giving up someone we want to keep (Hay, Favors, Kanter). Burks + picks wouldn't be enough.
