How long do Sprain Ankles take to heal?

Been googling this. Some say 1-2 weeks... ANyone have experience with this before?

depends. on what grade it is.
you got 3 grades.
the lowest you can play on after a say or 2 3

the worse you wont be bale to walk for 3 days.
running after 2-4 weeks.
playing 4-6 weeks

I didn't get the feeling that his was that serious. If it was, he wouldn't have been able to finish the game. I would project he is out for a week at the most.

Hopefully he's out for the rest of the season.

Of course I can see the Jazz getting the 5th seed without him and then Corbin starting him right when he returns for the playoffs and the Jazz getting swept.

kanter leading jazz to the playif avg 18-9
then jefferson comes back and kanter getting 5 minutes in the playoff
that would be epic.
i would personally come down to utah
and hunt corbin down.

and yes mods this is a threat ;) :P

Football players take a long time off sometimes. Graham missed several weeks iirc and I remember some missing up to 3 weeks. Bradford's lingered forever. Depends on how high I think

The Jazz play basketball.

Hah. I just mean that it takes a while sometimes if its a bad sprain lol

Just wondering why you use Football as an example when there are a ton of NBA examples that are more relevant.

You have extreme cases like Curry's, then you have some players who only sit a game or two. It just depends on how serious the injury and how quickly the person is able to naturally heal. Al isn't really a guy who is out there cutting and putting too much pressure on his ankle, so I really don't think he will be out too long. He got the injury by running over Favors foot, not by landing on it (which is how the more serious ones typically occur).

It also depends on what part of the ankle is sprained. High Ankle sprains are the worst and usually take 4 weeks to heal completely. Jefferson's didn't look like a high sprain though it just looked like he rolled it. So prob 3-5 days

In all seriousness, it really depends on a number of variables. Deron's still dealing with his sprain from 2008. I sprained mine a year ago and it's still not 100%. Depending on the sprain, you can sometimes make the argument that a break is preferable.
