I will say that where you are drafted (what number) makes a big difference in rookie playing time. Jimmy Butler was the 30th pick in the draft. That is the last pick of the first round. Which would likely indicate that he was drafted by a very good team and likely had very good players at his position making it hard for him to receive playing time.![]()

I do however disagree with SLC's point that you can tell how good a player will be in their rookie season. Especially with 18/19 year old 1 and done players. I just think you provided a poor example.
