How Wall Street is ripping off residents with solar power

Step 1. Wall Street invests money into a fund that leases solar panels.
Step 2. Wall Street gets 30% back from the government immediately.
Step 3. Fund locks suckers into $8000 up front plus a 15 year contract.
Step 4. Fund depreciates 100% of the value of the solar panels over the years. A benefit good enough for billionaire Elon Musk, but not the average Joe Homeowner.
Step 5. Fund distributes tax free returns back to Wall Street every year.
Step 6. Fund sells REC credits generated from your rooftop back to the local utilities, upping the price everyone else pays. Another effective subsidy to Wall Street.
Step 7. Wall Street brokers REC credit sales, creating an entirely new market to skim off the top of.
Step 8. Obama takes credit for stimulating main street.

This is how it's been for a long time with many MANY things. A lot longer than Obama's been in office.

I do find this info a bit disconcerting, but I can't really give it more attention unless O'Reilly or Colbert starts becoming hysterical first. They are always right, and they sift through everything and let me know if I should care about it. I trust them totally. They are like Gods to me.

tongue in cheek. tongue in cheek. oh jesus, please be tongue in cheek.

Good to see you are still able to shoot off your scatterbrained ad hominem attacks there 1B. I was worried for your health after I so thoroughly pounded your arguments earlier today.

Surreal.

It's not about Obama as much as the using modern technology to do away with the corruption that has always been. The rich feed on the passions on either side to rake us over the coals as we do their bidding not knowing we're cutting off our own nose.

I don't get the instincts the leftists or rightist have to defend or spin for their "team". They're like bass because they don't have the choice to attack the correct bait or not, even if it wasn't meant for them.

Being politically agnostic is truly liberating; the lefties and righties are so damn angry. I don't even hate congress like 99.99% of the populace seem to. They're doing the best they're capable of under the circumstances.

Beantown don't you work for a company that does residential solar? Just curious

A homeowner gets a lower utility bill? Sounds horrible.

They pay equally high rates due to the price of these Wall Street subsidized panels raising the prices on everyone through the roof, and giving the increase in premiums to Wall Street. That, and $8000 up front. Not that hard to understand.

This won't end well for California, but whatever it's their money to blow.
