We bought some eggs from a person selling them out of their house. They have like 20 chickens and have created a cottage business selling the eggs. They were still like $3 per dozen and only maybe 4 of them were bad, out of 3 dozen. But it's the best option, right?

Actually, I just wish the media would stop treating this with the level of dignity that they are. They’re still acting like this is 1998 and bob dole and bill Clinton have slightly different views on things and the media’s job is to be neutral and invisible actors giving “both sides” attention. Instead, I’d like to see them do the responsible job of screaming, “what the **** are you talking about dude? Large tariffs placed on our biggest trading partners is going to jack prices up for consumers and **** over our economy.”

I need mine to be pasteurized.
I have a friend who has chickens who I have been camping with and when we camp with a group of friends we take turns making meals for everyone else and she makes meals with her own eggs and I find them to taste gross. Way different flavor than the eggs from the store that I'm used to.
She says the same thing except she thinks store eggs are gross cause she is used to her eggs

I got a cheeky dozen for 7 bucks the other day, 700 grams, cage free. Ohhh yeah....

My cousin has about 40 chickens (In complete violation of council laws) only 25 or so are old enough to lay eggs at this point. Mum used to get eggs off her but I like a big egg, real whoppers and hers weren't getting the job done.

That's 100% what they eat. Sounds like she is feeding them grass and standard bird seed or super cheap chicken feed. My BIL keeps chickens and he had to experiment with like a dozen combinations of feeding techniques to get eggs (and chicken meat since some of his chickens are for meat) that he thought tastes good. IIRC at the beginning he fed them just whatever they foraged and supplemented with regular bird seed or cheap chicken feed and he hated it.

Honestly between home grown and shop bought I cant tell the difference.
