I can’t afford this Trump economy

FWIW the gas prices (for the lowest/cheapest grade) at the gas station closest to my house was $2.70 per gallon the day before trump was sworn in.
Yesterday the same gas station and same grade (the lowest/cheapest) was $3.26 per gallon.

Gas prices up.
Inflation up.
Wars ongoing.
Stock market lolz.
 
Trumpers act like Americans haven’t been beneficiaries of global trade over the decades. Wonder how much more an iPhone would cost if every component were manufactured and made here? How would trumpers watch porn without their phones and WiFi devices manufactured in Asia?Those cheap teevees that trumpers watch nonstop? Wonder how much more they’d cost if they were manufactured in Detroit rather than Japan or South Korea? Imagine if Walmart could no longer sell products at the cheap levels they currently do? Where would maga get all their stuff from?

Perhaps that 1950s life of 1 small teevee, no cell phones, internet, online porn, air conditioning, and 1 crappy car would come back? Perhaps the past wasn’t as great as some of you losers think? Trump and trumpers never consider the benefits of global (free) trade. Americans have benefited the most of anyone from the economics of the last 40 years. If you’re not doing so hot, perhaps it’s not the system but you who’s lacking?

Just think about how much more Americans today eat out as opposed to a generation ago. Anyone else remember dial up crappy internet? Anyone else here remember box teevees and corded phones and swamp coolers? Tell me again how Americans are getting ripped off in today’s 21st century? This hand held computer I’m writing on right now would’ve blown away the top desktop computers just a decade ago let alone the windows 95 machines I remember using. Anyone here remember DOS?
 
Well, I'm not a professional, but at first glance those %s make me think the US is withdrawing from global trade. Like almost completely.

USSR vs USA part II, except we wanted to try being the USSR this go around and China gets to play our part. Pretty dumb move if ya ask me. This isn't the 1600s, countries can't go it alone and hold up to countries that invest in global trade.
 
These tariffs are gonna be awesome to help our economy. Trumpf should be able to use a ton of money to revitalize the South and Midwest after they’re pummeled with supposed historic rains and tornadoes this week. He really cares about those Salt of the Earth types.
 
The trumpers on here should encourage their reps to hold town halls. If they really think tariffs are amazing, hold the town halls.

This is a great comparison actually. Like the USSR in the 70s and early 80s, an isolated America will stagnate. Others, like China, will fill the void. I read recently that China, SK, and Japan are banning together with sustained economic and security talk. A completely self-inflicted wound if we push Japan and SK into China’s arms.

I hope it hits them and hits them hard. They need to feel what they voted for last November. It’s the only way for these children to learn. That hot stove needs to burn their fingers the **** off. Either they learn and grow up or just stop voting. America needs to be led by adults who understand basic economics, not morons addicted to reality teevee who think trump is a good president.
