So, DNC requires photo I.D. to enter.

oh the irony..

and not just into the DNC;

From Charlottein2012.com
Pedestrians walking to their home or business that falls into a restricted area will be required to provide identification when the road is closed. Passenger (as opposed to commercial) vehicles attempting to enter streets with restricted vehicle access must go through a vehicle checkpoint

While I appreciate this post, I know you're smart enough to know that the restrictions on pedestrians are likely required by the Secret Service due to President Obama being in the area.

After reading some of the FAQs, I hope to never live in the host city during one of the major-party national conventions. It sounds like kind of a pain for locals.

OneBrow made the comparison between voter ID and needing ID to walk down the street.

Flashback, Obama 2009: I'll Be a One-Term President If I Don't Fix This Economy In Three Years; I Will Be Held "Accountable"

Yet Bush got blamed, again .. lol

Democratic Platform:Blame George Bush

Raise taxes on the 1%

Invest in education(more government spending)

Add teachers,firefighters,police(more spending)

Free Birth Control

Mitt Romney won't show his tax returns

Love how the Democrats open the week of their convention completely befuddled and confused and unsure what the messaging is on the simple question "are the American People better off than they were 4 years ago. That kind of beautiful stumbling-out-of-the-gate looks sort of like this:

I'm opposed to both. Walking into the DNC is not a fundametnal right, so I have no problem with that. Walking to your home or business should not require an ID, and I certainly recognize the hypocrisy involved and have no problem with condemning it.

On the other hand, I don't see why Scat or PKM would have any objection to people being forced to show an ID to walk down the street. It's consistent with their other positions.

I've spoken my mind on the matter and only having fun, at this point, with the matter.

I just hope we have some serious discussion about balancing the National Debt, I'm afraid we're watching the country sink, although slowly, but with incredible force and that we're getting to the point where we can't reverse it. I actually agree with Paul Ryan that we need to get the country to spending levels at the historical average of 20% of GDP, but I just don't understand how he can do this by adding more tax cuts. I hope Obama addresses this with specifics, not with his usual "I understand you're struggling, we're trying to fix it", no matter how buttery soft and sexily charismatic he delivers it.

From what I understand the President and VP are not going to even be at the convention until the fin al day when they speak in a stadium. Where and when will these ID and car checkpoint measures be put into place?
