I Don't Want Clarkson Back

I dont care about his salary in regards to the cap. If you pay him 10 vs 13 it's nbd if the plan is to keep him. I worry more about the salary because the only upside I see in signing him is trading him. That's where salary really matters at this point.

And Conley is going to be that guy next year like he was that guy late in the season.
the higher the number the more nervous I would be primarily because of trade value. Not a monster difference from 10 to 12 but the bigger the deal the harder it is to move.

If he is still working like he was last year then you keep him and the difference is negligible.

Lose him this year and then Mike walks or is washed next year and you are in deep ****... maybe there isn't upside but there is downside in letting him walk.

Got it. The Jazz are a good team and everything is working for the most part. Let's forget any discussions from now on.
Nope... that part of the team is working... do better.

Also, Jalen Harris is going to be a much better NBA player than JC and it seems like he can be had in the 40s/50s of this draft.

JC's instant offense was what we needed off the bench and he delivered when he came to the Jazz. Before the trade, we sucked big time getting points from the bench. I'm still all for bringing JC back.
Mike had a hard time getting separation at times this year... JC does not have that issue. I think Mike could be a more well rounded super sub but I'd worry he'd have an injury here or there and he wouldn't be able to get what he wants. JC moves well and uses his size when he's in the paint well. I just think he's better at that role than Mike is and he's a whole lot more budget friendly.

Depends on how much he wants for that extension and what alternatives we have for not bringing him back. JC is definitely one of the best options for our MLE unless Wood is available. Other guys like Justin Holiday, Dunn or Shaq Harrison aka "defense specialists" should be available for minimum deals. So getting these guys to strengthen our bench depth doesn't interfere with our process of resigning JC.

We were good at Defense not so long ago and we’d watch games slip away from us when our bench scored 8 points, but hey, the Defense was GREAT!

This is simple: You don’t win NBA titles without being able to score. Period. I’ll take a great Offense with a middle of the pack Defense every day of the week. Also, I actually think JC’s worst attribute was that he knew almost all of the bench production was on him and quite often he’d try and do too much. With Bogey back, it improves that chances that JC is sharing the court with an extra scorer which gives him more room to operate, and removes some of the scoring pressure off his shoulders.

I REALLY wanna see him return.

And Cassius Stanley will come in and give us what Mike did this year... see anyone can say wild ****.

Holiday and Dunn will not get minimums bruh... they will be closer to full MLE. Shaq maybe... but even then I'd pay him twice the min on a multi year deal.

Then let’s get him and sign JC and move him later if that’s what’s best. Letting JC walk is a straight-up mistake.

It's not what we want but what JC wants at this point. He has a decent market and teams with cap space will be after him. We do need to figure out plan B in case we lose him, and that decision needs to be made quick

We need to add one perimeter defender and one big... any more than that and we don't have playing time. We might draft one of the needs and use taxpayer MLE on the other... or you can sign a backup center for the minimum and get a lower tiered three and D guy like Shaq or Sterling Brown or Bazemore.

The big pivot move is if you want to take a swing and trade Mike.
