You mention the bobcats, pheonix, orlando, wizards, and new orleans as doing what we wanted the jazz to do and failing at it.
But see, none of those teams traded a superstar (dwill) and had 4 lotto picks in 2 drafts so the jazz were in a UNIQUE situation to have a quick, successful youth rebuild and they totally failed.... wasting two years in the process and pissing off a large percentage of thier fan base
Actually both Orlando and New Orleans traded superstars for multiple draft picks. The fact that those picks haven't been made yet might determine if there rebuild was a success or not. And both the Cavs and Bobcats have 4 lotto picks on there rosters that have been picked in the last 3 years. Again, not much to show if their way is the way to go or not, as both team have sucked so far into there "quick rebuild with lotto picks" So what you see is just the other end of what I see. Both not completely correct.
Again what I said was the Jazz had a plan. Because the plan wasn't what the fans think is should have been make it a failler? If the plan the FO had worked or not has not been determined yet. (so to say they "totally failed" is totally not true.) There were other players other than the young guys on this team under contact. The fact that the FO didn't want to trade those players and take back bad contracts so they could get to this offseason doesn't bother me. And I personally think that if the Jazz would have throne Hayward and Favors out there and said go ahead its your team that they would have failed at it. I don't think they were ready 2 years ago. I do think they are ready now.
