I'm just being pedantic, but this really depends on how you define a "slow start". Gordo had an up-and-down season last year. There was no clear upward trend from start to finish.

Hayward's season last year would probably look like a bell curve, January being the high point.

Pretty much describes the whole team. Rough start (1-14), played almost .500 (18-19), tanked around the all-star break (4-26).

True but even lebron and durant have 6 minute stretches where they struggle.

Hayward has consistently been very very good for us this year on both ends of the court

One thing I am highly encouraged by is that Hayward has it going right out of the gate and not in January or March.

One month does not make a season to be sure but I am encouraged as well. I am happy to see him playing like he is.
