What's new

Ian Clark Waived.

The only decent shooters we had were Korver & Matthews (and we let them both go).

We've had a string of supposed shooters that didn't pan out: Mo Williams, Ian Clark, Randy Foye ....

Didn't Foye break the 3-point shooting record for the Jazz?

which is sad. Evans is so uniquely gifted and cursed. Someone has to be able to put his unique talents to work for him. Unfortunately, he is starting to get up there in age. Really hope some other team picks him up and finds a use for him. He comes with his definite negatives, but with the right fit, could be a really good player to have on your team.
What unique talents? The guy can jump. He can hit some shots from 10 ft in. That's not very special. Evans' problem is that he's a tweener. The fact he's lasted this long as a 2nd-round pick who only had hops coming out of college is astounding. Great guy, but doesn't have much to offer an NBA team. He can't stretch the floor at either the 3 or 4 and he's not big enough to defend against PF's.

I agree with you, despite Evans being a fan favourite I would not re-sign him next season.

Lindsey seems more concerned about finding rough diamonds in D-League and in the draft rather than being more proactive in trades and free agency.

Well, he did pretty well in getting Ingles and Booker. I think the feeling he had is that Utah already had their five starters and some pretty solid backups in Hood, Gobert, Burke (or Exum). To those 3 he then added Booker and Ingles. That could have been a pretty decent 10 if they had developed and grown together.

Hard to criticize him for not being proactive in trades. Reportedly, he had been shopping Kanter months before the deadline. WE don't know if he's been working on something else. Remember, KOC and Kahn agreed on the terms for Big Al at the deadline, but KOC just needed to acquire another 1st for Minnesota, which he did. Wouldn't surprise me to see a deal which includes this year's pick. But Utah wouldn't do it if they landed in the top-3. And the trading partner might not want a future pick which would likely be in the late teens instead of 9-12.

Doesn't take a lot of effort to keep bringing in DLeaguers and have Snyder take a look at each. Those are all standard contracts and I'll bet Zanik takes care of those.

The question is, are the Warriors a real thing?

Not sure what you mean by this? They won the cup last year, and largely have the same core pieces, most of whom are still in their prime years. I would assume they are a real thing.

No no no I am asking if they are real as a being. As a concept. As reality. I am asking Wtf??? 119-69 ? Wow. My hat is off.

I'm blown away that there was once a national discussion over whether GS shouldve traded steph instead of monta. So far the dude's averaging 37p |6.5a | 5r | 2.5s on 60%2 | 50%3 | 96%ft. insane.

Monty was really explosive with insane aerodynamic skills. This kind of player usually colors your sight green. And Steph plays like he is possesed by Pistol Pete, Steve Francis, Reggie Miller, John Stockton at the same time. So it was a good decision after all! :)) You never know.
