There are 2 video interviews of Cotton at this link, and one of Snyder:

.....""He went and got it," Hood said afterward with a smile. "Everyone was going crazy. Everybody was shocked. The bench was going crazy. It was a great play. I think it turned the game around."

For Cotton, Monday was the fourth straight game in which he'd scored at least 10 points. The guard, whose contract with the Jazz is not guaranteed next year, is leaving a good impression as the season winds down.

"You get excited about his potential," Snyder said. "He is a unique guy. He's not a big guy, but he is quick and he is tough and he plays hard. I think everybody could feel and see what we saw tonight and I think, whatever the future holds, he is certainly showing that he is capable of playing in the league."

I appreciate him and will keep appreciating the crap out of him.

I just hope he gets rid of the name callings and nicking-arounds based on the actual meaning of the word cotton but instead they give him a much more badass name.

It's just awesome that he dunked that right at the crunch game of the NBA regular season just to say "...to be continued!.."

"I'm here and I'mma take over"

"My idol is Steve Francis at prime"

"Reconstruct that ceiling and screen and put'em higher coz Imma comin'"

I believe that dunk pretty much sums up the turn around after the all star break. If the Jazz picked up his option, I'm good with that to. Perhaps I'm still drunk off the Kool-Aid, but it's just hard to not love this team. It's nice to be able to say "Our bench kicked your bench's arse!"

BTW, while at Providence, Cotton was worked out by the best. And I mean the best. God Shammgod was an unpaid graduate assistant at PC the past two years. He worked with all the PC guards. Shammgod had one of the greatest handles of anyone in the game:

In the past three years at Providence, he has had a role in the development of guards Bryce Cotton and Kris Dunn, who were both first-team all-Big East selections.

“We worked out every single day,” said Cotton, who now plays for the Utah Jazz. “And after every workout it would turn into a half-hour or hour conversation about experiences that he had. Over time, it gradually transitioned from trainer-player to little brother-big brother. He’s helped me tremendously, not just with basketball, but just with my outlook on life.”

That dunk being a set play epitomizes the trust and respect the organization and especially Snyder has for players who come into the league in less than conventional means. The number of contributing D Leaguers is astonishing and a tribute to how Quin relates to his entire team. It deserves a thread all on its own. Joe Ingles summed it up best after the game when asked if he hoped he was coming back. He says he does and that Snyder was the guy who have him the most playing time.

To make it with the Jazz, leave your credentials at the door. Bring your heart, your game and your defense.

Wait... His Big Brother is God? That makes him Jesus' Uncle or something. We should pick up his option.

Seriously though thank you... appreciate the insight.

When he had the break away dunk, the dude hit his head on the bottom of the backboard. Trey couldn't do that with the half-time trampoline.

I really wish we had 10 more games to evaluate him. Plays with pace which gets good open looks... Gets to the free throw line and can hit the 3... Only 22 years old.

The alley oop was filthy but that crossover and jumper was the play that most caught my eye. If he can do that type of stuff when bigs switch he's a real asset and perfect bench scorer.

If we can get value out of trading Trey... Like a late first rounder in 2016-17 I'd probably do it. Cotton has limitations but I don't see him being a much worse option than Trey.

Here's Bryce from 5 years ago, doing some of the dunks LaVine won the dunk contest with:
