Batman Vs. Indiana Jones

Blockbuster movie idea. . .

This is probably exactly how Hollywood makes a bunch of their crap up.

Can someone please explain the Porzingis love affair that has infected this site? I've watched like 30 minutes worth if him and don't see anything special. And why no love for Oubre? Isn't he a young J.R Smith with more between the ears? Enlighten me. And Dr. Jones, I appreciate your pugnacity.

I just don't see anything special about Oubre to be honest. Kinda like Ben McLemore, does everything OK but nothing GREAT. Not great defensively, not a great shooter, etc.

Porzingis is a rare talent in my book. A 7'0 guy who can shoot it from anywhere, who is very physical, and is also mobile enough to put it on the floor. Defensively he can also versatile enough can guard SF, PF, C (if he bulks up a bit). Basketball is all about match-ups and I can see him creating match up nightmare for teams.

I've written about Porzingis in the other thread a lot. I really REALLY like his offensive potential! He can absolutely be a monster stretch-4... WITH freaky athleticism and length to add to it! He has a spot up jumper, he has 3 point range, I've seen him shoot off of screens and curls, he even has a turnaround jumper(sometimes even banks it if he has the angle for it) in the post. He runs the floor very well and finishes great in transition because of athleticism. If given even a little space in the paint he finishes with a dunk. He's been dunking pretty much everything in the restricted area recently.

The problem with him is his body frame... and the fact that I don't really know if he can guard any position in the NBA. He's not strong enough to guard 4s and he's not laterally quick enough to guard 3s... There are some issues with his concentration and off the ball defense too, but he's young enough that I think, those will probably improve.

This is pretty much a nightmare paragraph as far as I'm concerned.

Is this the cliche you're regurgitating this year?

Yah, that's why I'm getting a bit lower on him than I used to be. A few months ago I would have taken him in top 5, but the more I think about it, the more scary the first part of this paragraph gets to me. Some people think he can add weight and get stronger and he probably can, but I really don't know if he has the body type that allows that. Seriously, just look at him and tell me if you think he has the body type of a player like AK or the body type of say Valanciunas, who has gotten a pretty good NBA body with time after being pretty skinny early in his career. I guess, if you think he can get strong enough to defend 4s you have to take him pretty early in the draft.

Whoever the mock drafts say we should pick.

Chad Ford!

I went with Winslow as he fills a need and can play solid defense. Though I would much rather trade up for Russell or Johnson.

None of these guys are an option imo. We must move up. We have the picks to do it. Russel or Mudiay. If we don't have a srs stud in our backcourt by 2018 I'm afraid Hayward is gone and we will have to start over.

We need to tank harder
