I didn't vote, because it's impossible. Okay, I'll bite .. start pulling for the Louisville Cardinals.

People will hate it initially, but love it by this time next year.

Ref: Gordon Hayward, John Stockton

To quote Sloan from last year: "If we listen to the fans, we'll end up sitting with them....."

I also think he'll grow on the haters. It's funny how effort and exciting plays on your own team tend to change people's hearts. Plus, unless you're hopelessly cynical, how can you not like someone so positive and confident?

I didnt vote because I wouldnt jump for joy untill he did something positive for our team. I know Jimmer will not be an NBA flop either. Jimmer is excellent offensively, but will he develop a defensive game? (Which is badly needed) Everyone says that his size will be a problem, but I have to disagree with this. If he could put as much focus on defense as he does on offense, there shouldnt be any objection for any team that picks him ahead of projection. We all know he can shoot, and isnt afraid to drive in, but he tunes up his passing game, and learns how to D up point guards like, CP3, Rose, D-Will etc.... he could become a great point guard in this league.

Put it this way, in order for Utah to be a title contender, either Favors or this year's #3 pick need to become Tim Duncan-esque (Elite player that lead his small market team to multiple titles). Is Jimmer Tim Duncan? If he isn't, then I don't want him.

We need Kantor or Knight to be one of the top 5 at their position and Favors to be this way as well to compete for a title.

Really? No, Really? You want Tim Duncan - the most sure fire draft pick in the last 15 years - at the #3 spot in the so-called weakest draft in the last 10 years?

No way any of these guys are even close to Duncan, obviously. Our best bet is that whoever we get at 3 turns into a borderline all star, and Favors becomes elite. Then we have a solid foundation. Dallas has proven that you don't need 2 superstars to win a title.

I would be mad, because that would mean that we had missed out on either Dwill, Irving, or Kanter. Those 3 are superior talents. If there are franchise players in this draft, it's probably those 3.

I'm thinking that Jimmer will probably be taken somewhere in the 7-14 range. Top 5 is probably too high.

That said, if he were drafted at #3, I wouldn't have any problem buying his jersey. A good kid, who will probably stay here, not cranky, won't yell at the refs every play down the court, and won't run a HOF coach out of town.

Damn it, anyone want my Dwill jersey? Still looking to sell that thing.

After the reviews of the workout, I have just become comfortable with the team taking him @ 12.
I think the Jazz will do a workout with Williams and Knight to determine the #3 pick (having already done Kanter).
