This game was pretty amazing.
I watched quite a few Wazzu games this year and can say DeAngelo Casto was the best player on the team. Klay Thompson always disappeared in crunch time and I don't think he ever made a crucial shot or play in the final 2 or so minutes of a game in his college career. He may have more matador-ish defense than Boozer too. When there's no pressure, the guy can light it up, however, Morris Almond is probably his ceiling. Kyle Weaver (Wazzu alumn) will have a better career than Klay.
He was fun to watch in college but I don't see him doing well with the pressure of the NBA.
HONOLULU, Hawaii – The Cougars once again have Klay Thompson to thank for huge win.
Thompson scored 20 points to lead the Cougs as Washington State (10-1) won their fifth straight by beating fifteenth-ranked Baylor 77-71 in the semifinals of the Diamond Head Classic at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.
WSU was up 18 points early in the second half when Thompson took a seat on the bench with four fouls. When he checked back in at the nine minute mark, the lead had shrunk to six.
The Bears eventually ended up taking the lead back, but Thompson hit a huge three-pointer with 4:30 minutes to play to give the Cougars a 66-64 lead.
Then with just over one minute to go he hit another three to give the Cougars a four point lead that was the kill shot for the Bears (8-2).
Thompson also had four assists to go along with his hot 5-6 shooting from three-point range.
Faisal Aden scored 13 points off the bench.
DeAngelo Casto, Brock Motum and Reggie Moore all had 12 points.
The Cougs shot 57-percent from the field and 9-18 from beyond the arc.
The Bears struggled with 37-percent field goal shooting and only hit 4-22 from three-point range.
Baylor's LaceDarius Dunn led all scorers with 29 points.
WSU is back in action in the finals of the Diamond Head Classic at 6:30 p.m. on Christmas on ESPN 2 to play Butler, who beat Florida State, 67 to 64.
Pretty much everything you said here is false.

I can keep going too.
Ha ha, not at all how Nasty Style described it. Every player in the NBA would have taken the layup with less than a second hoping to get fouled and they were down 3 not four.
I really like Klay but still favor Hamilton,Burks,Leonard over him
LOL... Please, keep going. A preseason game?
Again, Isaiah Thomas dominated the BIG game while Thompson simply disappeared.
