What's new

If you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life - What would it be?

I’ve got 2 I’m tossing up between..

Mulholland Drive - just for the cheer mystery of it all, great acting and direction. I could watch it over and over and pick up new clues … keep solving the David Lynch puzzle.

While you were sleeping - just one of those feel good movies i could watch over and over. Sandra Bullock at her loveable best.. rooting for the “average guy”.. the music .. there’s Christmas, there’s humor … what more could you want?

Dan in Real Life would be my first option. Steve Carrell is absolutely phenomenal in that movie. Gets me every time I watch it.

Aside from that, I’d probably pick one I could enjoy with my kids and future grandkids - maybe The Princess Bride. It’s old and cheesy, but it still holds up.

Im doing a top three all by the same film makers.

All films by the Coen brothers, their remake of True Grit would probably be number four, their is just something about their films, I love, their humour, artistry, I dunno I just find them very rewatchable.

A Few Good Men.

Love that period Cruise and the energy of the film.

Aaron Sorkin could be my favourite screenwriter of all time. The West Wing is one of my all time favourite shows, (Sports Night got about a 5 minute run on TV here I'd love to watch that whole show) The Newsroom is brilliant.

I don't love all his films but Charlie Wilsons war is excellent, as is Moneyball and Molly's Game. I would have enjoyed the The Social Network more if i didn't detest all the people its about, The Trial of the Chicago 7 should have been a mini series

Indiana jones: Raiders

Or Dumb and Dumber. It still makes me laugh and those scenes around Provo and park city take me back to a time when utah wasn’t so crowded.
