reading more into this, and I think I'm getting sold on Moab. 4hr drive from SLC is also very much okay.

Moab is great. Honestly though you won't regret either choice. If you go to Zion, go see Pkm, that's the only plus to Zion over moab. I'd say they are pretty equal.

No need to speed. The speed limit is 80 mph

I think there is a chance that there would be snow in zion in late april. (I could be wrong though)

I won't know for a while. I am coming out based around home court. Get someone else to that show 'cause it probably wouldn't be up my alley.

From googling this a little bit, it seems to be pretty contested between Arches/CL and Zion/Bryce.

Zion is amazing. Crowded but a half dozen hikes there. The view from the top of Angel's Landing is amazing.

You should try and find a car dealership offer of free tickets that you can get. Lol.
