Jazz Nation didn't let me down tonight. I was a little worried that the removed by moderator on this site were actually the majority, but thankfully that wasn't the case. I heard BOOO's every single time Duh Ron touched the ball. Not just the first quarter. Not just the second, or the third, but all the way until he left the game for good in the fourth. Kobe didn't even get that kind of a reception a few nights ago, and thus, I am giving ALL of Jazz Nation a big ol' +12. You amaze me.

Gods, I love being a Jazz fan.

I think KWB hit the nail on the head when he said that people were booing just to go along with the crowd. Jazz fans are really a lot like pitbulls, in that they feed off of eachother's aggression. Boler and Harp had a text poll to see who was the most popular former Jazz player. Memo, Booze, Korver and Deron were the choices.

Deron won in a landslide.

I asked the guy in front of me why he was booing. His response, "Because Deron left us!" That's all I needed to hear. He had no idea what he was doing.

We didn't give him a chance if so he he would've left. The writing was on the wall he was going to dump us so we dumped him first, otherwise we wouldn't have traded him.

Clearly, this ends the debate.

In other news, an Arabic newspaper has recently been quoted:
... our reporter recently spoke with a homeless man in Salt Lake City and asked him his thoughts on the conflicts in the Middle East. The toothless man vehemently stated, "Them there Mooslums need to burn in Hell with the rest of them thar terrorists!", which was all that we needed to hear. America is 100% anti-Islam, and we should nuke them.

I'm fine with booing him. It's your decision. I just find it a little petty and sad they felt like they needed to boo on every touch.

I felt bad for Deron last night. We slaughtered them and held him to season low production, I believe (too lazy to check, but if not it's gotta be pretty close).

I feel worse for Memo though, because if NJ can't land Howard then you know Deron will bolt for a contender and Memo will likely be stuck there to finish out his career. Sad state for someone who gave us so much.

Why is memo stuck there? He's a free agent just like Deron.

Anyone who booed Deron repeatedly last night, or enjoyed that he was booed, are not real Jazz fans. They're cowards in my book and clearly uneducated when it comes to basketball. They're the fans who just want to be a fan of something. As the Jazz are the only sports team in the state I know the options are limited, so all the mindless idiots who are desperate to fit in all end up being Jazz fans. There was no reason to boo him. If it weren't for his rapid emergence once given playing time, and mere presence, I'm not totally sure the Jazz would still be around. The franchise was headed for the toilet after Stockton-Malone.

Don't get me wrong, since the trade was made I'm completely on board with this current Jazz team and think we're a couple pieces away from being a title contender once again - and I wanted us to beat the Nets by 50 last night while limiting Deron as much as possible.

How much demand do you think there is for him? I am guessing not a lot, considering injury history and drop off in production. If he gets on with a contender I would be shocked.
