What's new

I'm impressed.

I cheered D-Will in the introductions (suck it David), but that was it. The people around me were anti-booing. When the boos started, they cheered, chanted, and yelled. It got to the point that they cheered each of Deron's three baskets. I had to tell one of them that while I didn't agree with booing him, I wasn't about to cheer for him during the game, either.

You sure told them

Anyone who booed Deron repeatedly last night, or enjoyed that he was booed, are not real Jazz fans. They're cowards in my book and clearly uneducated when it comes to basketball. They're the fans who just want to be a fan of something. As the Jazz are the only sports team in the state I know the options are limited, so all the mindless idiots who are desperate to fit in all end up being Jazz fans. There was no reason to boo him. If it weren't for his rapid emergence once given playing time, and mere presence, I'm not totally sure the Jazz would still be around. The franchise was headed for the toilet after Stockton-Malone.

Don't get me wrong, since the trade was made I'm completely on board with this current Jazz team and think we're a couple pieces away from being a title contender once again - and I wanted us to beat the Nets by 50 last night while limiting Deron as much as possible.

Sorry, but the guy was a thug... He ran out Jerry Sloan (and yes I do believe that regardless of what both Deron and Jerry say in front of the camera with the pretty red light), and he didn't want to stay here, that much was pretty evident... Why do you think that Jerry wanted to reprimand him?? Maybe because he was turning into a cancer on the team??

The guy may be nowhere near TO, but I say good riddance... And if he isn't wearing a Jazz uniform anymore, then he is the enemy... (I felt the same way about Karl Malone)

That's how I roll... Now saying that, I wouldn't boo him or Memo or any former Jazz player like an immature schoolboy, but I would heckle the crap out of them, that's for sure...

I asked the guy in front of me why he was booing. His response, "Because Deron left us!" That's all I needed to hear. He had no idea what he was doing.
Jazz Nation - like most fanbases - is mostly completely retarded.

Then Jerry Sloan is a ***** with no legacy.

Deron 'ran out' Jerry because Deron wanted to run (because the half-court offense was broken) and because he wanted to watch film but Jerry didn't. What a piece of ****.

Deron wanted to run? THat's complete BS. THere were multiple post-game comments by Jerry that he wanted the ball to be pushed up the court. Deron WALKED the ball up the court. He them wanted to spend 10 seconds just dribbling, trying to break down his man with 3-4 crossovers. If that failed, he would then pass the ball.

What I find fascinating is that with a ton of new guys, no training camp to work on offensive sets (Ty said they worked on the defensive changes), the number of shot clock violations is virtually nil. Hmmm...

Like we don't have enough threads on the subject. But I guess the resident drama queen wanted some attention.
