What's new

i'm quite disgusted with the NBA refs tonight turning a blind eye to westbrook's actions.

And just to be clear, I'm not complaining about Ingles. I think both teams are playing playoff basketball. ***** going to get weird and wacky and probably cross some lines. It's not big deal and nothing to cry about and whine for suspensions.

You should be complaining about ingles. According to you he should not get a tech for something that’s no big deal but he did get one. This is the playoffs for God’s sake.

Lol come off it. You've been blasting everyone who disagrees with you in this thread, calling them 'whiners and criers.'

This lol.
Cy wants to play the victim after being a dick to everyone who disagrees with him

My problem with it is that I think Westbrook is "playing" out of control and if he hurts someone tonight because he's playing in a game he shouldn't be it's on the nba. Not that that means anything, but bending the rules so a superstar can play is ridiculous. Here's hoping for a nice win tonight with no injuries.

So if Gobert throws a bunch or high elbow that connects on Russ during the skirmish both guys get suspended right? Guy just got hit in the nuts... wants to get at Felton and Russ comes from the sideline and puts his hands on Rudy aggressively... could have easily escalated... this is about $$$$ and extending the series and one dude being a superstar and don’t tell me it is anything more than that.

If they are willing to go to these lengths to bends rules and materially affect the game in the open where people can see them... then what goes on behind closed doors to benefit the league’s revenue goals? This type of stuff gives all those tin foil helmet arguments some actual teeth.

The rule is being interpreted in favor of an allstar... again. When will the league stop this. It truly is what pushes fans away over time. Let competition play out regardless of status. The rule was broken. Period. The fact that they interpreted it differently in this case shows " stars are above the law" in many cases.

Do I want Westbrook suspended for the next game? Nah... that would give OKC an excuse when they lose on their home court again. But did he break the rule? Absolutely.

And the refs clearly recognized that OKC instigating all of that crap was intentional. It was strategic to get the jazz off kilter. But instead of calling it the way it was, we ended up with more techs and the only player thrown out. They swallowed their whistle the second half of the game on Westbrook. IT WAS A BLOW OUT and they still protected him. On our home court. Westbrook not only came in off the bench to instigate but he slapped Gobert's arm. He didn't receive so much as consideration of a tech.

CY IS THE REAL VICTIM!!!

Just heard Locke say there wasn’t really an altercation... an altercation is a loud public argument... 3 techs were handed out in a non altercation.

It’s a rule that has always been black and white and interpreted harshly even in very serious circumstances... it’s just troubling the excuse they give and the fact that most are willing to just accept that “they aren’t suspending him for that” it’s the same folks that accept “they aren’t calling that obvious foul on the last play” or “they won’t call CP3 for mugging guys because he’s CP3... he always gets those calls”

Watch the series get extended and the nba will bring in Marc Davis, Kane Fitzgerald, and Dick Bavettas retired old *** to officiate the last game. Gets them a game 7.... revenue bitches.

Kane Fitzgerald and Ed Malloy are your officials tonight... u thought last game was an officiating **** show... wait for tonight.

This thread is every negative stereotype about Jazz fans. Keep crying about the refs while we are up 3-1 in a series.
