What's new

I'm watching the NCAA Basketball Championship Game right now on CBS College Sports.

We all saw how effective AK was as a starter last season. Injuries aside, he performed much better when starting. I can see Hayward perhaps beating out CJ for the starting 2 job, but CJ's been working his *** off once again this off season and is charged for good showing this season.

I think Hayward's passing ability will be more valuable with the second unit. We're obviously lacking a good facilitator that can initiate the offense. He has PG experience and it will give Price the opportunity to play like a 2.

Barring injuries, would be pretty shocked to see Hayward starting this year. Since we have to compare him to another white player, how about the 07/08 version of Mike Dunleavy, but with better defense. That would be pretty good.

That's what I've been saying. Pre-injury Dunleavy is what I'm hoping for. I think the skill sets are the same, but the only thing I'm worried about is both Dunleavy and Miller seem way more aggressive than what I've seen from Hayward in College and Summer league.

I didn't say that he will be Larry Bird. I said he might be the second coming of Larry. I was really comparing him to Stephen Curry (both were stars at small schools and top ten picks).

I hope not - Dunleavy was downright wretched his rookie year.

The divine inspiration that KOC had when drafting Elder Hayward will ensure that he will be the greatest basketball player EVER. Even better than Jesus.

Hopefully Hayward will become our 3rd cog. A guy who can drop 18-20 on any night with an array of moves, good perimeter shooting and an aggressive attitude that equates into many, many free throw attempts.
