Tom Rathman was a versatile fullback. Great blocker, runner and receiver, in 1989 was second in receptions to only Jerry Rice with 73 he was elite as a pass catcher and basically everything else he did for that team

Fullback isn’t a sexy pick, but in Bill Walsh’s west coast offense you had to have one, he’s one of the best, take him out of the offense and it’s not the same. In 1989 he had the second most receptions and missed having a 1000 yard season by 79 yards. How many fullbacks can claim that.

Gotta say - I feel like this was a terrible pick. Not even so much because if the controversy. There were just SO many better options left on the board. It’s the last round, so it’s not that big of a deal. . . but man. . . what a missed opportunity.

He's my flex and a great pass catcher my uncle called me as soon as I was on the clock and wouldn't stop bugging me till I picked so I rushed it there's like 3 dudes I would pick over him at this moment... Would you guys be opposed to me changing the pick after the draft? Like once everyone else has picked
