Infiniti and Audi owners?

Past owner of a BMW and current owner of a Mercedes.

Looking at getting a new car (07 - 09) and leaning towards another BMW but the Audis and Infinitis have caught my eye. Specifically the E35, G37 Infiniti and Audi A4.

Any one own these cars or previously and what is your review?

Hate my CLK320 as I've had to shell out serious cash for simple repairs. New side mirror - $700 and now new springs will be close to a grand. Let alone $100 oil changes. I commute close to 100 miles daily round trip so need something with decent gas mileage.

Any feedback is appreciated

Audi's are cheap pieces of crap. They may look decent, but are cheap as hell on the inside.

Do you know what the difference between a BMW and a porcupine is?

A porcupine carries it's pricks on the outside.

I will say that my old 96 Bimmer was the best car I ever owned. 300k before any issues outside of regular parts. Then I totaled it. Call me a prick if you want but I would rather drive a Bimmer than a fusion. Now give me some 60 s American muscle and I'm all in.

I was out of town a month or so ago and had to rent a vehicle. They gave me a Fusion. I was actually quite impressed. Lot's of power, very smooth ride and very comfortable with plenty of leg room. Oh, and quiet. Granted, I only drove it for a week so it was a very small sample but based on my experience I certainly wouldn't exclude it from my list of cars that I'd consider.

I'm with you but it takes a certain personality to appreciate 60's muscle cars. About all they have going for them is tons of raw power, reputation and emotion. I get in my 65 stang after driving a more modern car and it feels like I'm getting into a sherman tank. It's noisy, smells of exhaust, vibrates like a housewife's favorite toy at high speed and takes bumps in the road worse than a bicycle with flat tires but damn is it fun to drive!

Well I traded in my Astin on a Bentley. The Astin just didn't have enough true luxury for my tastes. I wouldn't be caught dead in something so pedestrian as an Audi or BMW. There are 2 or 3 Mercedes models that would be passable, but then only in AMG trim.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.. definately still in look mode right now as I am like a chick when shoping for a car.

I looked at a few Lexus' and even though I liked them all I can see is a Toyota when I look at one outside of the sports cars.

Thank you for the feedback on the Audi's... was mainly looking at the A4 due to the AWD aspect and the occassion horrific long night home when it snows all day. With the last storm I white knucked it for 2 hours with the RWDrive Car but then again that is the only thing I have ever had. First car in HS was a 88 Mustang GT to my BMW to my Mercedes.

I really think I'm considering going BMW again.. either that or go 'cheaper' and get a 08 Accord/Maxima/Altima/Camry. My sister in law has a nice Fusion 08 but I just wasn't that impressed.

Not much feedback on the Inifinti's... no one have experience with them?

Who in the hell are you people?
I thought most posters on this board would tend to be lower middle class, such as myself.
No wonder I get into so many arguments about social policy here. Haha

Since I tried the Nissan GTR of a (rich)friend, I don't think I will be able to like the rest of the cars at all.

Haha:) You're not alone my friend. I had to sell my (very)old corolla a half a year ago. Now I'm planning to join to the wallstreet occupation thing with my girl friend's bike.

Meh, get one of these if you need traction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-R7ws741KpE

But seriously, check this website out: https://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com/

If you're looking for a good AWD system, you can't beat Audi. Their interiors are insane as well

Id rank Volvo at a second place spot. We had a Volvo 240, and the thing was indestructible. Haven't driven any post-2000 volvos, nor do I know any people who drive them, so Id say check out some online reviews on them. As far as drivability in snow goes, they're on par with Audi from what Ive heard.
