Ingles breaks the franchise record for most 3s made in a season

I loved Hornacek. Dude was an amazing 3rd option. It's such a shame we didn't win in the late-1990s - damn MJ.

Here's to Ingles getting better and better and bringing us awesomeness.

IMHO, not "damn MJ" there would have been nothing in the world better than beating MJ in the finals and I'm happy S&M had the opportunity to do the greatest thing in NBA history. In '98 they should have pulled it off, they were the better team.

How far behind is Mitchell?
I think like 20 or something. At the rate he was making them before I thought he might catch Ingles, and he still might. I think it’s safe to say Donovan will top the list next season, this season would be tough for him to catch up.

Pretty sure joe ingles is the best basketball player and human being ever. If Jesus is God’s son then joe is at least a nephew or something.

It currently stands at Ingles with 179, and Donovan with 159. There’s only 12 games left. Donovans taking about 7 a game and Joes taking about 5-6 a game shooting a higher percentage. Donovan’s averaging around 2.4 makes a game, Joes averaging 2.6 makes a game. Joe and Donovan will be #1 and 2 this season without a doubt. Hopefully both their numbers are much higher by the end of the season we’re gonna need them in this playoff push..... I saw earlier Andy Larsen also posted Donovan has the most missed 3s in franchise history, which I thought was a useless thing to bring up....let it fly kid.

I just feel like between joe, Donovan, and Rudy this is the most fun likeable core we’ve ever had.

I really identify with joe in part because I’m the average height white guy who plays pickup and leagues and get backhanded compliments all the time like... “you are really good... didn’t know you were fast” basically the hey you are white and kinda chubby and I was shocked when you drove past me 4-5 times.

I feel like we are living the nba equivalent of that every night.

This all fits except that I wouldn't call 6'8" "average height." He's a pretty big guy. For some reason he's easily underestimated.

Plus he is in really good shape and isn't chubby at all. He is pretty slender.

Really his face just looks like some random white guy. Everything else about him is a pretty typical NBA player.

Being slender and an athletic build are very different things. He's built like Rik Smits.

i'd disagree with that, Smits was terribly injury prone, Jingles has been durable. Wouldn't exactly call the guy athletic tho either, he's what 31 now? If he stays healthy i wonder how many more years he can play and contribute.

I think he'll be worth his contract to the end. He shouldn't have the same degree of wear as other NBA players his age (due to playing less), I don't see the athleticism he DOES have tapering off significantly anytime soon, he's already mastered craftiness that mitigates the need for athleticism, he's absolutely brilliant, and he's still improving his basketball skill.

I think he plays to 37 years old. People may think that's nuts, but I've been more right than wrong about Ingles every time I believed in him.

I think he'll still be a good player at the end of for contract. Which is what matters.

He is slender and reasonably athletic. He is in great shape for an NBA player.

Maybe early in his career he was not but he is now. I think that's one of the reasons he become much better the last year or two.

I was surprised when I saw Ingles up close in person that he was in much better shape, leaner and taller than I thought.

Like I said, lean =/= athletic. He doesn't appear very cut or muscular. I am literally only commenting on that and the appearance thereof. He's obviously in great shape.

That's what I disagree with. I think he is cut and muscular.

But muscular or cut =/= athletic just like being slender doesn't.
