It's the heat and the lack of sporting events, ending of summer vacation (when you are in school).

It's in the 90's ever day with high humidity and "feels like" temps of usually around 105.

I guess if you live way up North, August might not be the worst. If you live in the South though, August is hell on Earth.

So today is S'mores Day? I wonder if it's worth the effort to go to the store for graham crackers and marshmallows.

Probably not. You know how crazy out gets on S'more day with every one scrambling to get their S'more supplies before the stores close

For me, September is the worst month. It's the hottest in this region of Southern CA and doesn't cool down during the night very much. AS much as I've enjoyed other aspects of living here, I'm not going to miss the heat and the Santa Ana's when I move to northern CA in a month or so.
