What's new

Is Boise St the best #31 ranked bb team ever?

Last time the Utes played Iowa St in anything was like 2010'ish in football IIRC.

Final score Utah 64 Iowa St 13 or something.

Dem Utes and even more so Cougs good with their history lessons.. I guess not cluttering their minds with more recent positive outcomes helps with available grey metter.

I was just looking for Keith Van Horn's final game, but one can only imagine my excitement when I found out that it was against UK! Doubly depressing for the ugli ute

Said*Rick Majerus*in 2000,*"I am like Kentucky's favorite punching bag. People in Kentucky love me. I'd like me too if I lost every game."*

Noted Kurt Kragthorpe of the*Salt Lake Tribune*in an article on the one-sided rivalry in 2005*"Yet the good people of the Commonwealth are not terribly smug about their domination of Utah. A little condescending, maybe, but not cruel. They look at the Utes as historically harmless, but noble and lovable in advance of Friday's Sweet 16 pairing at Austin, Texas. They expect to beat the Utes, pat them on the heads again and get ready for Duke."

Pretty amazing that UK and the Utes have played each other 6 times in the tourney since 1993.

That's 6 of 8 trips Utah made in that timeframe ... quite remarkable, really.

Incidentally, UK won all 6 games and by a total of 102 pts. Which is the same ppg Boise St is averaging ... and this thread has now come full circle.

should be posting more pics of Hockey's greatest dynasty in modern times, tbh.

What the hell is that? A play? Why would you go to a ballet indoors, but still have to wear a coat? BTW, how was the nutcracker? Did you enjoy it? Stay warm? A little Irish coffee maybe? My wife wants to go the Nutcracker on ice, but I said no. No way I am paying to go indoors, and be cold.

Ironic that you're calling hockey a bitch-sport-- especially seeing as this past Utes football-season has been much more along the realms of the bending-over, testosterone-dropping 'nut-cracker' than this.

Call me when Utah succeeds in any sport they attempt. In the meantime, i'l enjoy this 'nut cracking' sport:
