Is Corbin Sloan Jr?

Can we please move on from this style of coaching. Every year its the same thing. I wanted to give Corbin a chance, but what is this ****? He's pulling the same crap that Jerry would pull. I just don't understand why we always have to play these vets just because they make a lot of money or whatever it is. Maybe its in their contract and its private. What the hell is it? Why cant we get a coach like Thibedeau? Dude has no problem benching Boozer. They seem to be doing ok. Popavich will bench one of his big three if they are playing terrible. They are doing fine.

Can someone please explain to me what is behind the Sloan/Corbin rotation theory? I just dont get it. I cant see how that can be anyway good for a team to coach like that. It just seems like they are trying to treat them like a stock and protect their image to the league. By not benching them and letting them get their numbers. But in the end they never make the trade and cash in on the value. So I am perplexed by the decisions these two make.

So why do it?

You are just cheating yourselves. I know they know too because they always acknowledge it in the oost game interviews.

Anyways, Corbin reminds me of Sloan a lot and that bugs me. I want to try something different. Im sick of this happening every year. And 90% of the fans can a see it too. We are never going to get over the hump screwing ourselves over. This team might actually have a chance if we were coached right.

They looked like a bunch of drones running around until someone would just throw up a shot. Let them play ball!

Comparing Corbin's bad habits to Sloan is completely ludricrous. Aside from what Corbin preaches in interivews, the two's coaching decisions and styles have virtually nothing in common. Either you never watched Sloan coach the Jazz, or you're just a troll. Either way, you're wrong.

I have watched Sloan ever since I was born. You trying to tell me that Jerry would have done any different than Corbin tonight. How so?

With the lockout, no training camp, limited practice time, and a bunch of both new and young players - I think it's unrealistic to criticize Corbin on our offensive execution. My problem with Corbin for the majority of the season has been his over-reliance on his starters regardless of circumstance and his complete inflexibility with rotations. In this particular series, I'm disappointed/upset/irate over Derrick Favors' limited minutes as well as the decision to thrust Josh Howard back into the starting lineup when the Jazz had won 5 straight and essentially made the leap into the playoffs with Demarre Carroll starting. Sloan was the opposite, but maybe you missed those 23 seasons.

You are so wrong. Jerry always chose vets no matter what too.

What are you saying?

You trying to tell me he wouldnt have gone with Millsap and Jefferson instead of Favors. Or Howard instead of the big three, or Carroll?

Of course he would have. You must not have watched many Jazz games. Are you even a fan or just a troll?

Jerry always chose vets no matter what too.
Then why did he play a rookie Shandon Anderson in crunch time of Game 6 of the 1997 NBA Finals?
Why did he play rookie David Benoit heavy minutes in the 1992 playoffs at the expense of cuttin into the minutes of veteran Tyrone Corbin and the more experienced Blue Edwards?
Why did he play a 2nd-year Shandon Anderson ahead of Jeff Hornacek in the 4th-quarter of the 1998 Western Conference Finals?
Why did he start 2 rookies in the 2002 Playoffs ahead of more established veterans? Why did rookie Andrei Kirilenko play ahead of a veteran Donyell Marshall? Why did a rookie Jarron Collins play ahead of veterans Greg Ostertag and John Amaechi?
Why did 2nd-year Deron Williams play PG instead of veteran Derek Fisher in 2006-07?
Why did 2nd-year Ronnie Brewer start at SG ahead of 3rd-year pro CJ Miles and veterans Gordan Giricek and Kyle Korver in 2007-08?
Why did Jerry replace 6-year vet Jason Hart with 2nd-year pro Ronnie Price as primary backup PG in 2007-08?

Jerry often played vets ahead of young players because the vets were just plain better (not sure if you'd agree, but in my opinion Stockton was better than Jamie Watson). In cases where the young players were better, Jerry wasn't afraid to play them, start them, or leave them in during crunch time.
In crunch time, Jerry went with the 5 players who gave him his best chance at winning. In the '99 Playoffs against Sacramento, Utah's centers were being abused inside, so in back-to-back elimination games Jerry went with a crunchtime lineup that had Malone play center against Vlade Divac and SF Bryon Russell guard Chris Webber.

But actually, nevermind, go ahead and disregarred actual facts or examples. I guess it's just easier to say "Sloan always chose vets no matter what."
