What's new

Is Dennis Schrader the new Eric Bledsoe?

Just curious, how have you or anyone else seen enough of Schroeder to have an informed opinion about him. A number of posters here are talking about him like he's a known quantity. What's your sources of info about him to arrive at such a confident opinion? I'm not knocking you, just curious.

If he was as as sure as a bet as Jazzfanz said he is, he would probably go top 3.

umm, try number 1. He is better than Damian Lillard, we need to trade Hayward to get him, and he is like Rondo with a jump shot... so yeah, he is the Greatest Point Guard of All Time.

All I have seen is the Hoop Summit and some highlights. But I have seen a fair amount of Bledsoe. IMO Schroder made some simple, very good passes after getting into the lane. Bledsoe just doesn't have the vision to be much of playmaking guard.

Ok. For the record (and for those who give a rat's arse what I think), I am not a huge Bledsoe fan. He comes at too high a price for someone with questionable true point guard skills and with a rather inconsistent performance record. I'd rather keep Burkes (in case he's trade bait for Bledsoe) and get a good rookie PG at a rookie contract, if one can be got that is.

i cant get over that this kid looks like if rondo went to sleep and woke up in germany with a jumpshot, an awesome haircut and cuts in his eyebrows and a free throw shot... ((and some fresh legs)). this kid gets mad and steals the ball... he amps himself like rondo does, might get alot of techs when hes older, they will be more of the furious KG/Rondo Techs, than the Whining Melo/JR Smith ones, hes fiery, it translates to his Defense, i love it.

also, young dennis has something not so fun in common with me, our fathers passed away in 2010. the story goes with him, hes been taking basketball "seriously" since then and its produced some explosive results in the years after, so this guy is one of my favorite basketball players of all time already, but im a noted lunatic and i didnt even know this kid existed just a few months ago... so take it with a grain of salt, i have infact done a few hours of research on the topic though, im not clueless, or i wouldent waste mytime defending the kid

I have lots of "favorite players" i always like a bunch of kids each draft, some of my personal favorites that didn't turn out, Hasheem Thabeet, I thouhgt Tyreke evans was gonna be sooooooo good, same with DeMarcus had a Tim Duncan, Brook Lopez 97 grade on him and 1st overall over wall, that is incorrect wall is better, **** i had jamarcus russell as my #1 player overall, thats im sure my biggest Gaffe.

one of my favorite players for many many years is Patrick Beverly, i was his biggest fan when he at Arkansas, i always knew he was a baller, hed single handedly bring them back in games(like i noted about Iman Shumpert), he was overlooked because hes 6'0" and skinny, hes got something u cant teach, heart

in jeff teagues body Dennis plays like Beverly and if he gets really strong will play like Bledsoe but Dennis = the faster blade... plus id bet hes a perfectionist like Rondo. thats what i see... and his quickness with the ball in his hands might be closer to john wall than those previous 3 PG's, i believe he has more dribbeling moves in his arsenal than all of those PG's and about or more than Mike Conley, with potential to get better, because his arms are unnaturally long, he doesnt have those tremendous hands that looks like you could rake leaves with (rajon rondo, kawhi leonard, the greek giant) so that means his arms are reeeeally long, really long, and he can grow more, if hes 6'2 in shoes. IN MY OPINION he plays bigger than 6'2" and he has a very low center of gravity for someone so massive, this kid is an Ultra Athlete, im convinced.

i never met that kid in his life but i bet you if you ask about his dad, hed go from smiling to serious real quick and youd probably get a good feel for what really motivates that kid, i could be presumptious with saying that, but i actually do have this kids intangibles rated very high, i could be wrong, ill probably be spot on though.

Guarantee you Schro is not faster than Bledsoe.. not that that really matters...

umm, he is faster than bledsoe, can pass better than Rondo, shoot better than Steph, and more athletic than John Wall. Have you already forgotten all the videos from Draft Express of him shooting around in the gym with some buddies?

How in the hell can you determine all those things from such a video????
You dumb dick.

I googled Dennis Schrader and this is what I came up with. Guess we can't draft him because he's in jail.

But it was such a great video with good production, it has to mean something right? The way I see it, he will be like a mixture of Magic and Paul George, with Larry Bird's shot. He is going to come into the league, and then fill in for center in the finals as he guides his team to a championship in his rookie year. If you could not tell that from his videos, then you must not know what under 18 German Basketball is doing these days.
