Is Energy Solutions Arena obsolete?

I've been to a mere 5 NBA arenas (the Pepsi Center and McNichols, Key Arena, Oracle, and Energy Solutions) and ES is by far the best of the five. It's not even close to be honest. It's the loudest by far and has the best sight lines for basketball.
 
I guess back to the original question....is ESA obsolete?

No. It's a great place to see a basketball game even though it's ugly as sin.
It's a hallowed temple where we practice our religion.
A belief we all share.
 
Chiming in again because idont get the "ugly" talk. Are you speaking from an outside or inside perspective? Inside is a bit bland, but outside the building and it's surroundings appear aesthetically appealing.

You're not going to reach a consensus. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
 
You can be in the upper bowl and still see well. The way the building was built helps keep noise levels way high too.

If you want your pansie *** "nice" arenas, go to LA and visit Staples. That thing was built for anything but Basketball.

It's definitely not the most beautiful of the NBA arenas from the outside, but it's far from the worst. Check out the Target Center: TargetCenter.jpgBarf.

I've been to about half a dozen NBA arenas (some of them no longer in use), of those I think Radium Stadium is by far the best.
