Is Exum The Worst Player in The NBA Who Gets Minutes?

I don't know which one you mean, but it happens almost every game... I remembered this one in the game vs the Wizards and got it instead:

I don't know if it's as bad as the one you are referring to...

Am I the only one who thinks Dante would have got swatted to the 15th row on this play? He blew by his guy with blinding speed and shiftiness and made not a bad decision to pass up the shot. A lot of guys would have clanked it.

I think Snyder should require Dante to run the bizzaro world Hoosier offense where he has to take five shots before he can pass the ball. Tell him he has to drive and get contact going to the rim, and not trying to float the ball in.

Well Colorado often says a player sucks and will suck forever. I just mean right now that Exum sucks. I still think he can be a good player in the future, but now he is awful.

EXum is to early to tell if he is a bust or not. I was right about Doufus, about Kanter and countless others. People may hate me but good jolly golly I am right most of the time

I personally think its great the Exum is getting the minutes he is. Could we win a few extra games this year if he wasn't starting??.....probably. But what difference would it make?? We don't have anything close to a playoff caliber team this year, so let him play and make the most from those rookie mistakes. I think that the Jazz Fanz either forgets that he's 19 years old, or truly expects him to be better, because they (Jazz Fanz posters) are 19 years old themselves; which at 19 years old they wouldn't have a great knowledge for the game of basketball, and/or are 19 years old and feel invincible for their age so the expect Exum to feel the same way. Forgetting that at the young age of 19 there is a lot of basketball to learn. Don't compare him to guys in college that are in their early 20's. He didn't go to college. He came right into the NBA. Of course there is going to be a learning curve. But he is evolving intelligently. Not making stupid mistakes and not rushing to be something he's not. He is showing a lot of maturity for his young age.

Does Dante have asthma? I only got to watch a few minutes last night, but saw him come out of the game huffing. The camera stayed on him for several seconds and he huffed the entire time. I doubt he could have grabbed enough air to say two words.

I have witnessed him standing with his hands on knees looking winded. I have read on here how he is out of shape. But I had never noticed him gasping for air until last night. I hope he is okay.

I noticed that too. He really needs to work on his stamina. This was a concern and people could see it already in the preseason. You'd think that he'd be more in shape by this time of the year, we'll see where it goes.

FWIW I see a lot similarities with Exum and Steph Curry.
Just looking at Curry vids.
First he avoids contact etc at all costs.
He does not like to draw fouls.
He will weave around guys to get a shot off rather than slam into them.
He is lightning quick, great ballhandler, passer, great court vision, etc.
Curry should be the player Exum wants to become.
A player does not have to be reckless physical to succeed in NBA.
After watching Curry I still see hope for Exum.

ROFL. POTY!!!

I sometimes wonder if Exum would play better as a SG. I know his shooting % is dismal but his jump shot has improved. I like his passing skills but they seem to be at their best when he receives a pass and quickly finds the open guy cutting to the hoop. I think he'll be awesome in this league but he's not taking advantage of his height by posting up shorter defenders or driving to the hoop.

His only strength so far is his court vision. Who needs a shooting guard who can't shoot or drive? Also, who's going to be the cutter Dante passes to? Not the PG, or the bigs. So he'll be playing an SG just to pass the ball to a cutting Hayward every now and again.

Except Curry can shoot and Dante can't. That is like saying "I am like a 6'0" version of Shaq" that would be a **** player.

He can hit the three. He's 19 and his shooting will improve. And I like his court vision but noticed he rarely has a nice assist at the beginning of a half-court set offense. Watch his assists - most come when the ball is passed to him and he quickly dumps it off. As a PG he doesn't make things happen.
