I am a huge Kanter fan and think he still has a bright future. BUT right now it's not working. Gobert needs to start.
Kanter can still get 20-30 minutes per game off the bench. He can be our scorer off the bench and play Center and a little PF.
We need defense more then anything right now. With how bad we're playing Snyder has nothing to lose. I also think Trey is one of our biggest problems on defense. The point guard on the opposing team always lights up Trey and also gets into the paint at will causing confusion on defense.

Favors is the answer.

But only to this question: what NBA big man starts for the Utah Jazz but would be a backup for every other team?

The committee would also accept Enes Kanter.

Yup, been saying this. Ty made Favors bulk up physically to play the C position defensively when Big Al left. I bet he can go back to that shape again when he was playing with Al Jefferson. Why not??

The Gobert / Favors frontline defensively could have a bright future in this league. C'mon Quin - try it!!!!!!!

In order for this to happen Favors would need to lose weight. This is a move for next season

We are losing at an incredible pace. Don't tell me that Kanter is faster then Favors on defense. Yes Favors needs to lose weight to play the PF position. But what the hell do we have to lose to try it?

RUDY,RUDY,RUDY!

I've been saying it since before the season started that the answer is starting Rudy at center, playing Favors at pf, and bringing Kanter playing Kanter close to 30 minutes as the backup center and power forward.

Kanter's defense is so bad that it makes Favors' defense look far worse than it actually is. I like the idea of a Favors and Gobert front court in the future. However at this point that would leave Kanter and Booker as the backup bigs. I can't see a lineup of Kanter and Booker working even against backups. For however good Booker started he has been very disappointing lately.

How is a Kanter/Booker lineup worse then a Rudy/Booker lineup?

I do agree that Booker has been disappointing after he looked so good at the start of the season. I love his energy plays but other then that he's been awful.

I disagree. I know it's easy to take shots a Kanter, but we can't blame him for everything. Having poor defenders around a good defensive center will make the center look better as he gets more opportunities to block shots and protect the rim. Blake Griffin is a poor defender but that doesn't make Deandre Jordan look worse, it makes him look better. The same can be said for Tyson Chandler and Dirk, or Bogut and David Lee.

I don't think this is true at all.

so last night we saw a lot of Rudy and Favors together. It was okay, but nothing that will make us contenders. Rudy is a difference maker, but until we have someone who can take over games (Rudy Gay last night) and force our team to a win, it won't matter who is or is not stepping up inside. Favors and Rudy will never be our "go to guy". Hayward has shown he is a great second option. Exum is really tentative..... when he goes to the hole he always passes. Last night was tough to watch because Exum showed nothing and I mean nothing that makes me think he is anything more than a back up. I pray I'm wrong. I know..... to early, Panic much etc....
