What's new

Is Pulp Fiction the greatest film ever?

Not one mention of "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" You people are all cultural Neanderthals.

Wait a second, is a movie with the underlying theme of the nonexistence of God one of your favorites?

Oh Brother... is one of the best, if only because a ****load of people don't get it but still love it.

No taste.

On another note, I don't get people who turn movies off or walk out. Even if a movie is terrible, I have to stay til the end just to know what happens.

I get not liking "There Will be Blood" but to act like it's such a terrible movie that it doesn't even warrant being finished, is ridiculous.

and LMFAO at a bunch of jaffzans bagging on Tarantino.

You can still enjoy his movies, you know. I don't get people who can't stomach the knowledge that different people may not share their tastes.

one of the most overrated movies of all time

Overrated? Please. It's rated fine. I think Mr. Ebert put it best back in '94...

It's like when film snobs pretend to like Lawrence of Arabia. You couldn't pay me to sit through that again.

But ya, nothing Tarantino makes is good. It's all the exact same substanceless drivel.

You're completely right. Jackie Brown was exactly like Pulp Fiction.

Oh, so every single movie has to be exactly the same for my statement to be valid? It's called hyperbole.

I know absolutely nothing about Mr. Tarantino's next project, but does it, by chance, have to do with someone who's been wronged exacting bloody vengeance on those who wronged him/her? Perhaps we'll have a bunch of characters walking toward the camera while catchy music is playing? I know there will be a ton of cartoonish violence and long *** "clever" monologues.

Whatever, bruh. Tarantino is amazing, and I'm an idiot for not liking his movies. I'll just have to live with that.

Is that what that was, hyperbole? I guess I missed it.

People are free to have their own opinions but just saying Tarantino is crap certainly feels dumb. Tarantino is one of the most -if not the most- exciting movie/scenary creators of the last few decades and the movie history itself, whether anyone likes it or not. He had the balls to try for the banishable acts of movie creation and took his chance anyways. It's a bit disappointing to hear that they tried out the movies before releasing though. Not a Tarantinoish badass move. Just release it and see what happens you *****!

Uhh, you know there are studios that release his movies, right? Those studios just don't release movies. I doubt they would just scrap a movie after putting all the money into production, but they probably do that kind of random screen testing to decide on how to market it/how much $$$ into marketing/where to release the movie based on the response they get from those testings.

Was expecting this response. Thanks anyway.
