Just looking at the mock on Draftexpress. They have Mike Moser at 27. This kid can definitly be a a good player in the league.

Off my homer stub, I see solid role players through out. We are not going to need a star. If we can get two good role player types with the picks next year I think we will be fine. We still need to develop we what we have anyways. I just hope next year we develop them a little better.

Moser needs to work on his game a lot. A lot.

A litlle extreme? For his first real chance to play he made huge strides. Dont know how much you were able to see him, but I do have season tickets and watched him extensively. If he did not have a lack luster 5-6 games down the stretch he would have been to 20 in this draft. Not my ranking, but DraftExpress ranking.

He will be a top 15 pick next year. No doubt.

I'm starting to think we may be better off getting the GSW pick in 2013. IMO this year'sdraft is pretty overrated. Besides Davis I don't see any players with real star potential. I think there is a good chance the number 8 pick next year will be just as good as this years.

I doubt it. But the point is that with Curry, Lee, Bogut, Thompson, 8th pick in 2012 do we really expect this team to be a bottom 10 team? I see them making a push for the playoffs.

how many games do you expect bogut and curry to play?

Bogut is definitely a concern, but I think Curry's injury problems have been a little blown out of proportion. He would have played way more if GS hadn't been tanking.

I'm not saying they'll be amazing, I just don't expect them to be as bad as they were this year. In other words, it'll be a worse pick in a worse draft. I'm not sure why we're trying to be happy about that.

Honestly though. These guys are poorly coached, injury prone from top to bottom and have barely won their entire profesional career. Also who are they bumping out? I see them as 11-14 next year. I dont see a scenario where they make the playoffs. Far too many good teams. Hell we may not make it if we dont make some moves to fix our weaknesses.

There are always players who emerge. I see a bunch of good role players. hopefully some starter qua;ity players emerge

I'm sure it'll be a decent draft, at least in the lottery, I'm just saying that we shouldn't expect it to be as good as 2012, and we shouldn't expect the pick to be as high as #8. And if it is, then what would stop them from majorly tanking again?

I hope I don't sound majorly pessimistic about having the pick next year, if that' what happens, but am I really crazy for thinking it would be more valuable to have the 8th pick in 2012 than a 10-14 pick in 2013?

Who were we all so excited about with the 8th pick in this draft anyway? Lillard or Marshall would have been nice, but both a bit of a reach.

^^^^I choose to think this way because it helps with the hurt.

I am really just trying to self sooth. Obviously we all would be ecstatic with the 8th pick this year, but I hope this time next year we are looking forward to having two top 20 picks. lets hope.

Hey guy. do you get lots of hot chicks?

Next years draft is going to be much better than this draft, especially the top-five. Shabazz Muhammad is going to be the number one pick next year unless Nerlens Noel does some spectacular things like Anthony Davis did. Muhammad plays exactly like James Harden and we all know Harden would be starting for every NBA team exept the few with all-star shooting guard i.e. Kobe, Wade, etc. Cody Zeller and James McAdoo are the other top players and that leaves only more spot in the top-five for someone else next year like Andre Roberson who was Burks teammate at Colorado, he is a great small forward.

This draft class is a little weak on point guards, Marshall, Lillard, and Teague are the only good ones in this draft. 2013 will be full of point guards in the first round 5-7 atleast I am predicting. On the Jazz's standpoint it would be in our best interests to get the Golden State pick next year instead of this year so this could be a blessing disguise. The draft class for point guards next year includes guys like. CJ McCollum, BJ Young, Lorenzo Brown, Ryan Harrow, Myck Kabongo, Isaiah Caanan, Ian Miller, and Deonte Burton who if all these guys have a good year they could all potentially be taken in the first round. It is also a great small forward class as well with guys I mentioned earlier, James McAdoo, Andre Roberson and even Adonis Thomas, there were repots that the Jazz wanted a small forward this year so we could get a look at those guys as well.

CJ McCollum is one guy that I would really like to see the Jazz take a hard look at next year. Granted he plays for Lehigh, but not to mention they upset Duke this year as a No. 15 seed. Has great size at 6'3 but needs to gain some weight he is only 165 lbs. Reminds me a lot of Eric Maynor, McCollum decided to stay for his senior year which we don't see very often. Projected to go in the mid-teens in next years draft right now so with a good year he could be going in the late-lottery. Even with all this about how good the Warriors are going to be next year I still think that they will not be very good and we will get a pick in the 10-20 area
right where McCollum is projected. McCollum was the best guard on the floor when they played Duke and he racked up 25 points and 6 assists in that game.

Lastly, one thing not to overlook is free agency this year. One gut that the Jazz definitely need to go after is Goran Dragic, if they could sign him to a new contract they wouldn't have to worry aobut getting a point guard in the draft and could pick up another shooting guard or small forward. We wil also have our own first round pick next year, but I think we all know that we are going to be good next year so that will probably be in the late teens or early twenties where the Jazz could pick up a solid player.

Thanks you so much for these positive words! You've sold me on it, unless we get the pick this year of course, but it's the first positive news around this travesty that I've heard.

I think every year people whine about the draft class being weak. Well, I will just take a wait and see approach. We seemed to have done pretty well in a supposedly weak draft class this past year. As for GS, I would love to ruin their night and have someone jump them. They deserve it.

It won't be as deep, so if we get the 12th pick or lower, it will suck. If we can get something in the top 8-10, I think we can get a good player.

Guys on my radar for next year.

BJ Young
Myck Kabongo
Alex Poythress
Adonis Thomas
LeBryan Nash
Tony Mitchell (For Wes)
