Is the Tank Back on?

It seems like the past two games the boys have not wanted it. Are we in the running for ping pong balls and wait until next year?

Yeah... management told the boys to stop playing because we have no chance. Come on, bodaget... there are a lot of games and the guys are fighting. After a lot of bull crap calls, bad injuries to our top players, and a lot of rough spells this year, they are still right there.

What abut this team, this coach, or the management tells you they are quitters?

Playing badly does not mean the team is tanking.

In fact, tanking means the management is putting its team in a position to lose to gain a better draft pick. Players don't have much to do with that.

It never ended. This season was not meant to be judged by wins. They purposely didn't bring in vets. Jazz set out to see what the youngsters could do in their own. It was a real blow to have somany injuries. Next season is where they know better what they have. They will attempt a few trades depending on how they view the core and bring in some vets to push the young players and shore up the bench. Making the playoffs this year with no bench and a really young roster is just a plus and shows we have real talent that can they can grow. Not sure why people expected a high seed when the players, coaches and management has said this season is not being judged on wins. They didn't build to win and they aren't coaching to win. They tinker with lineups, they put players in uncomfortable positions and they let most players struggle to see how they respond. This season is on track and things are okay. Losing Exum was the biggest loss since they can't evaluate the pg spot this year.

Please let's not go down that road again...

It seems the best we can hope for is a 4 game series vs. Golden State or the Spurs. It might be better to get in the lottery and get a better player from the draft or at least a higher drafted one.

If you've ever had a goal that takes immense dedication and wanted it bad enough you'll know there is still days, weeks, or even months where you just don't have it. There's always temporary burnout with the grind, an ebb and flow per se. They'll get back to it soon enough.

This board has gone full retard.

The "tank" was never off. DL didn't give the team any depth, so injuries - which EVERY team has - were going to affect the Jazz more than many other teams. DL believes in shopping at the Dollar Tree. Trevor Booker...that's his crowning achievement in free agency!

Lindsey's only regret is that the Rockets did nothing to get better.

Screw the tank. Experience in postseason for the whole young roster is ten times more valuable than a lottery pick. You can pick someone like Enes and have problems with him or you can pick Embiid and never even play him. I'd take experience over tank begging. It's just rolling the dice. Own the first 3 or 4 picks and maybe I'll reconsider.

Just realized that unlike normal years it is not the 8th spot or the 14th pick. Jazz have the 12th pick right now and the 8t pick is only a few games away.

Jazz are no longer 15th, now they are 12th.

Could easily slide into 11th. 9 or 10 is within reach if they stop trying.

If you are on the tank bandwagon, you gotta hope for a loss to the Pellies on Saturday, the tie-breaker could be important.

Big night for you tank fans.

Jazz are currently ranked 12th right behind Orlando Magic.

The Jazz are on a 4 game losing streak and in the middle of a 4 game road trip.

Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic are hosting the Phoenix suns who have only won 4 road games all season and who have lost 4 of their last five and only won 3 games since Christmas.

A loss by the Jazz and a win by the Magic would put them into a tie for 11th spot. Increasing the Jazz odds at a top 3 pick from 2.5% to 2.9%

Well let's all root for the Big L tonight.

The next few weeks look tough. Depending on how it goes we could be looking at mid lottery.

What would you be willing to trade along with our pick for Ben Simmons?

Honestly at this point I am willing to trade just about ANYONE on this team for Ben Simmons, who can be a legit #1 for us. That including Rudy Gobert.
