What's new

Is this the game thread?

Crowder played more than Favors. So I kind of disagree there. As for Allen...maybe he should have tried him sooner in hindsight.
Crowder should've played even more. I ain't mad about Allen, per se, or really even necessarily mad, but if this team is going to have such depth, it has to get used better than it was tonight.

We need Mitchell out of his funk. I think that's our main issue right now. When he plays well his energy gets the whole team going.
I think we just gotta be patient. I think he'll get there, but he's behind and part of me wonders if his toe is still on his mind as well. It seemed like he was in that boot and then restricted from 5-on-5 forever.

Rubio needs to get it together soon, I hope we don't have to endure him struggling for an entire half of the season like we did last year.

Teams hounding Mitchell.

I thought he’d be used to getting a lot of defensive attention. But dudes make you prove it in the NBA. Klay was all over him last game. And even a **** team like Memphis makes him earn it. He’s gonna have to work through it.
Yeah but he also does not have the same mobility he had before. No spin moves, no cross-overs, and barely any sideways movement on that eurostep, which was what, the first or second one he has attempted this season? And when he does get an opening he ends up bricking it hard off the rim or backboard. Seriously something is up with him. I sure as hell hope he figures it out and does not turn out to be another flash in the pan rookie that doesn't do much else until he is a bench guy for a super team to "earn" his ring after 13 years bouncing around the league.

Chill dude. He balled out in the playoffs, single handedly put a team away his rookie year. and has all the makings of a star.

We don’t need to even entertain these ideas unless he looks bad for a very long time.

I shall not be "chill" "duuuuude". The sports team I cheer for lost in a relatively meaningless match at the beginning of the season. Therefore I claim my right of intense outrage and hyper-criticality befitting my self-appointed office of "fan".

Therefore you feel free to "chill" "dude"!

Good day sir!

Rubio is shooting a blistering 25% from the FIELD this year. 1-8 tonight)
Exum is shooting 40% from the field (2-11 tonight)

We need more from the point guard position.......and lots of other issues as well right now.
Mitchell is shooting 34% from the field, 27% from deep, and has scored 57 points from 61 shots. Ingles has 58 points on 40 shots, which is the next highest amount of shots, and no-one else has taken 30. Gobert has only taken 21 shots for his 46 points, Crowder 21 shots for 45 points. These are our four top scorers.

Let's be honest about what the real problem is, shall we?

Memphis is not a terrible team. They have talent. And at the beginning of the season they aren’t beat down yet so you get their best punch. Honestly the entire team looked out of it tonight.
