Punch Bowl Re-Filler
I agree it won't be addressed in this draft, but don't count out a trade in the future. Jazz have tons of assets and will have room under the luxury tax to take on a free agent. Don't need a superstar at PG. In fact, we've already seen how limiting it is to have one of the players at or near MAX be the PG. I've been a Trey critic as well, right from the summer league when it was apparent his lack of speed at his diminutive size would be a huge deficit to overcome. The problem the Jazz have with Burke is that he's just good enough that he'll keep his job, PG won't be a priority in the draft or FA, but because of the deficiencies you mentioned and a few others (not getting to the FT line, not making plays defensively, small, etc), he'll likely never be top notch and will probably always hold the team back. And I like Burke.

But I also think it is premature to count him out. Competitors find ways to minimize their weaknesses and maximize their strengths. We'll see if Trey can do that.
