Same as the 1973 war between Israel an Syria was a proxy for the USA - USSR cold war. The soviets were actually flying war planes for the Syrian air force, while the US sent a giant air train supply to Israel. The war actually finished after the soviets threatened the US it will drop a nuclear bomb on Israel to prevent them from advancing into Syria.

Teaching Israeli Jews to not be racist bigots is a step in the right direction for fixing the conflict.
"A 2008 poll by the Center Against Racism found that 75% of Israeli Jews would not live in a building with Arabs; over 60% would not invite Arabs to their homes; 40% believed that Arabs should be stripped of the right to vote; over 50% agreed that the State should encourage emigration of Arab citizens to other countries; 59% considered Arab culture primitive. Asked "What do you feel when you hear people speaking Arabic?" 31% said hate and 50% said fear. Only 19% reported positive or neutral feelings."

I hate the news show The Young Turks as much as the next guy but lets not do poisoning the well fallacy here. Crazy, especially the statistics he posted. The double standards by the Israeli's is astonishing. "Hamas made me do it" is an excuse that no one with a rational mind would buy. I am sorry to say some posters on this website already have.
