Sad but true. And I share your reaction.
Though, we shouldn't make mistake by directly comparing the issues. The life of the Palestinians is a constant hell comparing to the southeastern Turkey. Besides, you are probably comparing the popular number of 30K. That number is for over 30 years vs the 12 years here. The number of civilians killed by the PKK is around 5K(mostly Kurdish people ironically) and the number of soldiers/rangers killed is about 7K. The rest of the 30K are the mountain terrorists. However, I know you would want to count the Turkish soldiers and the rangers in the loss and I would strongly agree.
But still, the oppression in Palestine is on another level, the numbers just don't justify it.
